Can someone explain these IRS codes on my transcript? 424-810-811 showing refund date 2/24

Just checked my transcript and saw these codes pop up: 424, 810, and 811. Shows a refund date of 2/24 but not sure what all this means. Anyone know if this is good news or more delays? Been waiting since January.

Those codes tell a specific story: 424 is examination indicator, 810 is a freeze code, and 811 means the freeze was released. The 2/24 date is likely your Direct Deposit Date (DDD). Seeing the 811 is excellent news - means they removed the hold and you should get your refund on 2/24 if you chose direct deposit.

Sounds interesting. How exactly does it work? Does it just read your transcript or does it do more?

Does anyone know if the 424 code comes back after the 811? Kinda worried here

Once 811 posts, youre usually in the clear. The 424 shouldnt return unless theres a new issue

Congrats on getting the 811! That's the code we all want to see 🎉 For anyone else confused by transcript codes, here's a quick breakdown: 424 = under review, 810 = account frozen, 811 = freeze released. The cycle dates and DDD (Direct Deposit Date) are what really matter for timing. Dylan, you should definitely see that money hit your account on 2/24!
