810 Freeze Code on transcript - projected date changed from 2/17 to 3/3 - Need Help Understanding

Looking at my transcript and still seeing that 810 freeze code. Anyone know what this means? Also noticed my projected refund date changed from Feb 17 to March 3rd (shows up in purple on transcript). Getting worried about the delay.

The 810 freeze code means the IRS has temporarily frozen your refund for additional review. This is actually pretty common these days. They're being extra careful with identity verification and fraud prevention. The date change to March 3rd suggests they need a bit more time to complete their review. Usually these resolve themselves within 2-6 weeks.

Hey! I actually found this really helpful tool called taxr.ai - it analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly what's going on and when to expect your refund. Only costs a buck but saved me hours of research. https://taxr.ai

Sometimes they do this if you claimed certain credits. Did you claim EIC or child tax credit?

@Yuki Yamamoto That s'exactly it! EIC claims trigger automatic reviews almost every time now. They re'super strict about verifying eligibility. The good news is it s'just a routine check - as long as everything on your return is accurate, it should clear soon. The 810 freeze with EIC usually takes 3-6 weeks to resolve.
