Anyone with Chime in North Carolina received their tax refund direct deposit yet?
Hey y'all! Just wondering if any Chime users in NC have gotten their tax refunds deposited yet? Filed mine about 2 weeks ago and WMR shows accepted but nothing in my account yet. Starting to get antsy since I usually get mine pretty quick with Chime's early deposit feature. Anyone else in the same boat or already got theirs? Thanks!

I'm in NC and got my refund via Chime last Thursday. Filed on January 30th, accepted same day, and refund hit my account on February 15th. Chime typically receives direct deposits up to 2 days earlier than traditional banks, but IRS processing times vary significantly based on your return complexity, verification needs, and regional processing center workload. What does your Where's My Refund status show?

I'm in Charlotte and still waiting too. Filed Feb 1st, accepted same day. WMR shows the first bar but nothing else. My sister in Raleigh got hers last week with Chime, but she filed a week before me. Did you claim any credits? Those can slow things down.

Yeah I claimed EIC and Child Tax Credit. WMR just says "Your tax return is still being processed" - no bars anymore. I'm wondering if that's why it's taking longer. Does anyone know if there's a way to see what's actually happening with my return?

I had the same situation last year. The key is checking your tax transcript - it'll show codes that tell you exactly what's happening. I used https://taxr.ai to analyze my transcript and it explained every code and gave me a pretty accurate estimate of when I'd get my refund. Saved me a lot of anxiety since I could see my return was just going through normal processing and not stuck somewhere.

•Does the transcript actually show more than WMR? I've never checked mine before.

•Oh 100%! WMR is super basic compared to your actual transcript. The transcript shows all the action on your account - when they received your return, any adjustments, holds, and most importantly the codes that tell you what's happening and when you'll likely get your refund. It's definitely worth checking.

If you claimed EIC and CTC, you're definitely under the PATH Act which means they couldn't even start processing your refund until after February 15th. That's why it seems slow compared to people who filed simple returns. I'm in NC too and Chime usually posts my refund about 36 hours after the IRS releases it.

Been trying to call the IRS to check on mine (also Chime, also NC) and it's impossible to get through. Spent 3 hours on hold yesterday before getting disconnected. Anyone know a better way to reach them?

•I was in the same boat last week and used Claimyr.com to get through to the IRS. They called me back when an agent was available instead of me sitting on hold for hours. Actually spoke to someone who confirmed my refund was approved and gave me the exact deposit date. Worth every penny since I needed that info for planning some bills. Here's their link: https://youtu.be/_kiP6q8DX5c
