Have you considered that it might be a glitch in the matrix? Maybe we're all just living in a simulation run by the IRS π€π½
I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/bDXD2SD0gGk
Idk man, paying to talk to the IRS? Seems sketchy.
I get the skepticism, but for me, it was worth it to not waste a whole day on hold. Time is money, you know?
Pro tip: use the IRS2Go app to check your refund status. It won't help with the identity verification, but at least you can track your refund without calling!
OMG how did I not know about this?? You're a lifesaver! π
LOL more like a horror movie π±
I prefer to think of it as a very boring video game where the final boss is a mountain of paperwork π»π
Quick question - does anyone know if this identity verification thing affects your refund timeline? I'm counting on that money and I'm worried this will delay everything π¬
Just went thru this last week. Make sure u have a good phone connection cuz if u get disconnected, youll have to start all over again. Learned that the hard way π€¦ββοΈ
Oof, that sounds rough. Thanks for the tip!
Have you tried sending a certified letter? Sometimes that gets their attention better than phone calls.
Ugh, I'm in the same boat. Been trying to fix an EIN issue for months. The system is so broken π«
