I'm having the exact same issue! Filed Feb 20, got my NY state refund March 8, but federal still says processing. Can't see my transcript either. Starting to get worried since I have bills due soon. Let me know if you get any updates!
Pro tip: NEVER do the "get refund 5 days early" with TurboTax or any other tax service. They use a third party bank that sometimes causes issues. Always just do normal direct deposit straight from IRS to your bank.
I was in the same boat. Filed early March, nothing for weeks. I finally broke down and used taxr.ai to figure out what was going on with my transcript. Turns out there was a small math error that was holding everything up. The tool explained exactly what was happening and predicted I'd get my refund on May 12th - got it May 14th, pretty darn close! Saved me from going insane checking WMR every day.
Honestly after spending 9 weeks stressed out of my mind checking WMR daily and trying to decipher my transcript, it was worth every penny. The peace of mind alone knowing exactly what was happening instead of being in the dark was priceless.
Be careful, could be identity verification. I had to wait 9 weeks then got a letter saying I needed to verify my identity before they'd continue processing. Super annoying. Keep an eye on your mail.
Yes they'll send a letter, but it could take 2 months to arrive š If you call them they can tell you immediately if that's the holdup. I finally got through using claimyr.com after wasting hours on hold myself.
Make sure to get everything in writing from your tax preparer about when you can expect the check. Some of these places will give you the runaround. If they say "2 weeks" ask them to write down exactly when you should call if you haven't received it by then.
Most folks saying 2-3 weeks here are accurate based on my experience. BUT if you wanna know exactly what's happening with your refund, call the IRS directly. I tried forever to reach an agent and finally used claimyr.com which got me a callback from an actual agent. The agent was able to see exactly where my refund was in the process and told me when I could expect it to be returned to SBTG. Made me feel so much better having real info instead of guesses from reddit.
Got a callback same day! It was honestly such a relief to finally talk to someone who could see my actual file and not just guess what was happening.
I can confirm this works. Used it last year when my refund was stuck in limbo for 3 months. Agent solved it in one call.

Pro tip: If you really want to know whats happening with your refund, check your account transcript on the IRS website. It will show you exactly where your return is in processing and when your refund is scheduled. The 846 code is the one to look for - that's your refund issuance code and date.

ā¢I second this, but understanding transcript codes is like learning a foreign language š©

ā¢This is why I started using taxr.ai last year - it translates all those codes into english! Total game changer for me.

If I had a dollar for every time the tax software refund date was wrong, I'd have enough to pay my taxes! š Only trust the IRS WMR tool date, and even then, add a few days for bank processing time.
