SNAP EBT interview no-show - what to do when they ghost you?
I had a scheduled interview for EBT SNAP benefits but nobody called me at the appointed time. It's been a while since then and I still haven't had an interview or received any decision about my benefits. I'm not sure what documents I need to have ready for when they do finally contact me. Has anyone else experienced this? What should I do next?

Ugh, same boat here. I've been waiting for WEEKS and no one's called me either. It's so frustrating! 😤 Have you tried calling them back?

•I've tried calling but can never get through. It's like their phone lines are always busy or something.

•Yep, sounds about right. The system is totally broken. I swear they do this on purpose to discourage people from applying. 🙄

•Guys, don't give up! Keep trying. I finally got through after calling like 50 times in one day. It's a pain, but persistence pays off.

Here's what you need to have ready for your interview: • Photo ID • Proof of income (pay stubs, tax returns) • Utility bills or rent receipts • Bank statements • Social Security numbers for all household members • Any recent correspondence from SNAP It's best to over-prepare. Having all this ready will speed up the process once you finally get that interview.

•Thank you so much! This is really helpful. I'll start gathering all of this now.

•Don't forget medical bills if you have any! Those can sometimes help your case.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/rqRJnqEdkoI

•Sounds sketchy. Is this legit? Has anyone else tried it?

•I know it sounds weird, but I swear it's legit. I was desperate and took a chance. Got through in like an hour when I'd been trying for weeks.

•I've used it too. It's annoying that we have to pay, but it beats wasting hours on hold.

This happened to me last year. Turns out they had the wrong phone number on file. Double check all your contact info is correct in their system!

The whole SNAP system is a joke. They make it so hard to get help when you need it. I've been trying to get benefits for months and keep hitting roadblocks. Anyone know if there's a way to complain about this?

•You can try contacting your local representative or senator. Sometimes they can help push things along.

•There's also legal aid organizations that might be able to help. Google 'legal aid' + your city/state.

Have you checked your spam folder? Sometimes their emails end up there. Also, make sure to answer ANY call, even if you don't recognize the number. They often call from blocked or weird numbers.
