How long after status changes to 'eligible' until payment hits my account? (DEO wait since January)

Finally saw my claim switch to 'eligible' status yesterday after being stuck in pending for nearly 5 months (since January 3rd). CONNECT shows payment was processed today but nothing in my bank account yet. This wait has been absolutely brutal - had to borrow money from family just to keep my electricity on. Two questions for those who've been through this: 1. How many days typically between 'payment issued' and actually seeing the deposit? I'm set up for direct deposit. 2. Is the additional $300 federal supplement paid separately or together with the state benefit? I'm checking my account literally every hour hoping to see something. After fighting with the DEO system for so long, I'm paranoid something else will go wrong before I actually get paid.

Thank you!! That's such a relief to hear. So I might not see anything until Friday or even Monday next week? The waiting is killing me after all this time.

The timeline varies depending on your bank. With my credit union, payments issued on Monday or Tuesday typically arrive the next business day. If issued Wednesday-Friday, it usually hits my account Monday morning. To answer your second question, the $300 FPUC benefit comes in a separate transaction, typically 24-48 hours after your regular state benefit. They're processed through different systems but follow the same deposit method you selected (direct deposit or Way2Go card). Pro tip: If your payment status says "issued" in CONNECT, you can actually call your bank to see if there's a pending deposit that hasn't posted yet. Sometimes they can see it in their system before it appears in your account.

That's really helpful information! I'll call my bank tomorrow morning to check for pending deposits. I wish the DEO website explained all this - would save so much anxiety.

DONT GET TOO EXCITED!!! my claim went to eligible after sitting in adjudication for 12 weeks but then it went BACK TO PENDING for another 4 weeks before actually getting paid. The DEO system is a complete mess and nothing is final until the $$ is actually in your account. just saying dont count ur chickens yet

Oh no, that's terrifying! Did they ever explain why it went back to pending? Now I'm going to be even more anxious checking CONNECT every few hours.

If you've already received a payment issuance notification in CONNECT, you're past the risk of reverting back to pending. The payment process follows this sequence: 1. Eligible determination 2. Payment processing (internal DEO step) 3. Payment issuance (what you're seeing now) 4. Bank processing (where you are now) 5. Deposit available The timing depends partly on your bank's ACH processing schedule. Most major banks make funds available within 1-2 business days after receiving the ACH file from Florida DEO. Credit unions sometimes take an extra day. Regarding the Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation ($300), that's processed separately but follows the same deposit timeline. It normally arrives 1-3 days after your regular unemployment compensation. One thing to verify - make sure your banking information is correct in CONNECT. Double-check the routing and account numbers under your payment method section to avoid any delays.

Is the adjucation process still so long theese days? I filed last week after losing my job and I'm stressing about how long this will take.

@SparklyUnicorn25 - Yes, unfortunately adjudication timelines are still running 4-8 weeks for most claims with issues. If your claim has no flags or issues to resolve, you might get determination faster. The best advice is to make sure you're claiming your weeks on time and accurately completing your work search requirements (5 job contacts per week) while you wait.

I was in the exact same situation last month!!! The waiting game is absolutely infuriating. For me it took exactly 2 business days for the regular payment and then the $300 came the next day. The DEO is seriously stuck in the dark ages with their payment processing 🙄

Thanks for sharing your experience! It helps knowing what to expect. And yes, the DEO system feels like it's running on Windows 95 sometimes lol

If you're tired of waiting and need to speak with someone at DEO about your payment status, I'd recommend trying Claimyr. After 3 weeks of constant busy signals and disconnects, I used their service last month and got connected to a DEO agent in about 20 minutes. They basically call DEO for you and then connect you when they get through. Saved me days of frustration trying to get answers about my delayed payments. Their site is claimyr.com and they have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/UzW_hbUy-ss?si=zORd51jeq1GX5Ldj

I've never heard of this service before. Does it actually work? I tried calling DEO over 30 times yesterday and either got busy signals or was on hold for 2+ hours before getting disconnected.

Yes, it definitely worked for me. The DEO phone system is basically designed to prevent you from reaching anyone. With Claimyr, they use a system that keeps dialing until they get through, then they connect you. Much better than wasting your whole day hitting redial.

Just wanted to update you - several of my clients who received payments this week are reporting that the deposits are coming through faster than usual. One received her payment just one business day after it showed as issued in CONNECT. So you might see yours sooner than expected!

That's great news! I'm checking my account constantly. Will update here when I see the deposit for anyone else who might be in the same situation.

UPDATE: My regular UI payment just hit my account this morning! Exactly 2 business days after it showed as issued in CONNECT. Now waiting on the $300 federal portion. Such a relief after months of waiting and stressing about bills. Thanks everyone for your help and advice!
