DEO CONNECT glitch - Getting kicked out when claiming weeks
Is anyone else having issues with CONNECT kicking you out when trying to claim weeks? I log in fine, navigate to the page where I need to claim my weeks, but as soon as I click that link, the system boots me out completely. I've tried 8 times today on different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, even Edge) and my phone too. Always the same result - kicks me back to the login screen. This is week 3 of my claim and I've never had this problem before. My claim weeks are going to expire soon if I can't get this fixed!

OMG YES!!! This happened to me ALL DAY yesterday. I thought it was just my crappy internet connection! I kept getting booted back to the login page every time I tried to claim my weeks. So frustrating!!!

•How did you finally fix it? I'm getting really worried about missing my claim deadline.

•Thanks but this was happening all day Monday and Tuesday too, not just today. I'll try early tomorrow anyway, worth a shot.

This is actually a known issue with the latest CONNECT update. There are two workarounds you can try: 1. Clear your browser cache and cookies completely, then try again 2. When you log in, DON'T click the direct link to claim weeks. Instead, go to your claimant homepage first, wait for that to fully load, then navigate to the claim weeks section from there If neither of those work, it could be that your identity verification has expired. DEO sometimes requires re-verification through ID.me every 6-8 months depending on your claim type.

•Thank you! I tried the second method and it worked! I went to the homepage first instead of clicking directly on the claim weeks link. Such a weird glitch but I'm just glad to have my weeks claimed. Would have never figured this out on my own.

I had this EXACT problem last month and it was because my account had a pending issue that wasn't showing up on the main screen. The system was trying to direct me to the fact finding section but instead just kept kicking me out. I had to call DEO (took 3 days of trying to get through) and they told me I needed to complete a fact finding questionnaire about my job search activities. As soon as I did that, I could claim weeks again.

•The second method from the other commenter worked for me, but this is good to know if it happens again. How did you finally get through to someone at DEO? I tried calling before posting here and couldn't get past the automated system.

Getting through to DEO is nearly impossible these days! I finally used Claimyr (claimyr.com) and they got me connected to a real agent in about 20 minutes. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/UzW_hbUy-ss?si=zORd51jeq1GX5Ldj. Before that I spent 2 days trying to call on my own and just got busy signals or the system hanging up on me. The agent I spoke to confirmed there's a CONNECT glitch affecting thousands of accounts right now, but they can fix it manually on their end if needed.

•Thanks for the tip! I'll save this info in case I need it. For now the workaround is working but who knows with this system...

The DEO system is experiencing widespread technical issues this month due to their database migration. According to their latest update (posted yesterday on their Twitter), they're aware of the claim weeks access problem and are working on a permanent fix. In the meantime, using the homepage navigation method that worked for you is the official recommended workaround. Also important - if you're within 48 hours of your claim week deadline, call and document your attempts to file. Florida law protects claimants when technical issues prevent timely filing, but you need to document your attempts.

It was posted in a reply to someone, not as a main tweet. Look for replies from @FLDEO to users reporting technical issues. They've been responding to specific complaints rather than making general announcements about the problems.

•classic deo - hiding important info in twitter replies instead of putting it on the main website where people would actually see it! i've been dealing with this system for 2 years now and it's ALWAYS something. right when you think it's working smoothly they break something else 🙄

BTW if none of the fixes work for you, try using a completely different device. My CONNECT account wouldn't work on my laptop AT ALL last month but worked perfectly fine on my sister's iPad. Makes zero sense but that's DEO for you!

UPDATE: For anyone finding this post later - the homepage navigation method worked for me (don't click directly on claim weeks link). I was able to successfully claim my weeks. The system still glitches if I try to use the direct link, but going through the homepage works every time.
