DEO CONNECT authenticator code keeps rejecting after ID.me verification - losing my mind!
I finally got approved for Regular Unemployment last week after waiting almost a month, and successfully completed the ID.me verification process without any problems. But now I'm completely stuck trying to log into my CONNECT account! The authenticator code generator keeps sending me codes that immediately get rejected when I enter them. Every single code says "code cannot be verified" and I've tried at least 15 times with different codes. I've tried logging out completely and starting over, using a different browser, clearing cookies, and even tried on my phone instead of my computer. Nothing works! I haven't been able to claim my weeks or see my payment status for over a week now. I'm literally in tears with frustration. My bank account is almost empty and I need to access my benefits ASAP. Why does DEO make everything so unnecessarily complicated? Has anyone else dealt with this authenticator code issue after completing ID.me? Any solutions that actually worked for you?

I had the exact same problem last month! The DEO authenticator system is buggy and often gets disconnected from your account after ID.me verification. Here's what worked for me: 1. Don't use the code generator through the website. Instead, call 1-833-FL-APPLY and select option 5 for technical assistance. 2. Request a manual code reset (they'll verify your identity through security questions) 3. They'll send a temporary PIN to your email that's good for 24 hours 4. Use that temporary PIN to log in, then immediately set up a new authenticator You might need to wait on hold for a while, but this completely fixed the issue for me and I haven't had problems since. The regular technical support can't help with this - you need to specifically ask for the authentication reset team.

•Thank you SO MUCH for these specific steps! I'll try calling that number right now. Did they ask you a lot of verification questions? I'm worried I might not remember all my information correctly when I'm this stressed out.

This is a known issue that's affecting many claimants right now, especially those who recently completed ID.me verification. The problem is that the ID.me system and the CONNECT authenticator aren't properly syncing up in the DEO database. I recommend trying these additional steps that have worked for others: 1. Try logging in very early in the morning (like 6-7am) when the system has less traffic 2. Make sure your phone number in your CONNECT profile exactly matches what you used for ID.me 3. If you have access to a different phone number, you can try updating your profile with that number through the automated phone system, then try the authenticator again If none of these work, you'll need to speak directly with a claims specialist who can manually override the authentication system for your account.

•Thank you for these additional suggestions! I've tried logging in at different times of day but not super early morning - I'll set an alarm for tomorrow. My phone numbers should match but I'll double check that too. Really appreciate your help!

THE DEO SYSTEM IS PURE GARBAGE!!! I've been dealing with this SAME EXACT ISSUE for TWO WEEKS and still can't get into my account! I have bills due in 3 days and can't access MY OWN MONEY that I'm entitled to! This is absolutely CRIMINAL how they treat us. The phone system disconnects me EVERY SINGLE TIME after I wait on hold for an hour. I've sent 7 emails with ZERO response. Every time they "upgrade" the system it just creates more problems. Meanwhile they expect us to jump through hoops like trained seals just to access our own benefits that we EARNED. I'm beyond frustrated.

•I feel your frustration! I went through something similar last month. Have you tried reaching out to your state representative's office? I was shocked when they actually helped me get through to someone at DEO who fixed my account within 24 hours. Just Google "Florida state representative" plus your zip code to find yours. Their constituent services can often work miracles with DEO issues.

Try using the mobile app instead of the website? That worked for me when I had authentication issues

•I didn't even know there was a mobile app! Is it called CONNECT or something else? I'll search for it right now - thanks for the suggestion!

I had similar issues last month trying to access my account after ID.me verification. After wasting days trying to get through on the regular phone line, I discovered a service called Claimyr that got me connected to a DEO agent in about 20 minutes. They basically call DEO for you and when they reach an agent, they connect you. Totally worth it for me because I was about to get evicted and needed my benefits urgently. The agent was able to reset my authenticator and fix the sync issue between my ID.me and CONNECT account. You can check them out at claimyr.com - they have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/UzW_hbUy-ss?si=zORd51jeq1GX5Ldj Hope this helps - the authentication issues are incredibly frustrating and DEO doesn't make it easy to get help.

•Thank you so much for this suggestion! I've been trying to call for two days straight with no luck. I just watched the video and am going to try Claimyr right now. At this point I'm desperate for any solution that actually works. Did the agent have to transfer you to a specialist for the authenticator reset or were they able to do it directly?

•The first agent had to transfer me to their technical support team who handles authenticator resets. Make sure you explain clearly that you've completed ID.me but the authenticator codes aren't working. They'll need to do what they call a "credential resync" between the two systems. Good luck!

•I tried both my computer and phone but not someone else's device. That's a good idea - I'll see if I can borrow my neighbor's tablet today. Thanks for the suggestion!

Hi, just checking back - were you able to resolve this issue? I'm curious if any of the suggestions worked for you.

•Yes!! I ended up using the Claimyr service someone suggested here and finally got through to DEO yesterday. The agent said this is happening to lots of people right now because of a recent system update. They had to reset something on their end called an "authentication token" that was corrupted when I completed ID.me. I can log in normally now and was able to claim my weeks. Thanks everyone for your help during my meltdown!

So glad to hear you got it resolved! This is such a common issue right now - I went through the exact same thing two months ago after my ID.me verification. The "authentication token corruption" thing seems to happen a lot when their systems don't sync properly. For anyone else reading this thread with the same problem, I'd definitely recommend the Claimyr service if you can't get through on your own. It saved me hours of frustration and got me connected to someone who actually knew how to fix the technical issue instead of just telling me to "try again later." The DEO really needs to fix this sync problem between ID.me and CONNECT - it's ridiculous that so many people are getting locked out of their accounts right after completing verification. But at least there are workarounds that actually work!

•This is really helpful information! I'm a newcomer to this community and currently dealing with a similar authenticator issue after my ID.me verification. It's reassuring to know that this is a known problem with actual solutions. I've been feeling so overwhelmed trying to navigate all of this on my own. Thank you for sharing your experience and confirming that the Claimyr service works - I was hesitant to try a third-party service but hearing multiple success stories makes me feel more confident about it. Hopefully DEO will fix this sync issue soon so others don't have to go through this stress!

Welcome to the community! I'm also dealing with authentication issues after ID.me verification and this thread has been incredibly helpful. It's frustrating that this seems to be such a widespread problem, but at least we're not alone in this struggle. I've been trying to get through to DEO for days with no luck, so I'm definitely going to try some of the solutions mentioned here, especially the Claimyr service since multiple people have had success with it. Thanks to everyone who shared their experiences - it really helps to know there are actual fixes available even when the system seems completely broken!

•Welcome to the community! I'm also new here and just stumbled across this thread while desperately searching for solutions to my own authenticator problems. It's such a relief to find so many people who have actually gotten through this nightmare and can share what worked. I've been locked out of my CONNECT account for over a week now after completing ID.me verification and was starting to panic about missing my claim deadlines. Reading through everyone's experiences here has given me hope that this is fixable, even though DEO's system seems completely broken. I'm definitely going to try the early morning login suggestion first, and if that doesn't work, I'll look into the Claimyr service. Thank you all for sharing your solutions - this community is a lifesaver when dealing with DEO's technical disasters!
