Can't access CONNECT - keeps kicking me out after 2 hour wait

Is anyone else having massive problems with the DEO CONNECT website today? I've been trying since 7AM to check my claim status and it's completely broken. Finally got in after waiting over 2 hours (literally watched paint dry while waiting) only to get immediately kicked back out to the login page! Now it just sits there spinning when I try to log in again. No error message, nothing. I have bills due next week and need to check if my payment processed. This is ridiculous - does DEO ever actually fix their website? Anyone know if there's scheduled maintenance happening or if the system is just broken... again?

I got in this morning around 6:30am with no issues, but my brother tried at 9am and had the same problem you're describing. The CONNECT system seems to be overwhelmed during peak hours. Try logging in either very early morning (5-7am) or late evening (after 8pm) when fewer people are trying to access it. Also make sure you're using Chrome or Edge - the site doesn't work well with Safari or Firefox in my experience.

Thanks for the tip! I'll try super early tomorrow. Do you happen to know if there's any maintenance scheduled? It seemed worse than the usual slowness.

This happens EVERY TIME they release payments. System can't handle the traffic when everyone checks at once. DEO knows about it but never fixes it because they don't care about us. Been dealing with this garbage website for 3 years now.

The CONNECT system is experiencing technical difficulties today according to the DEO Twitter account. They posted about 3 hours ago that they're aware of login issues and their IT team is working on resolving them. They recommend trying again tomorrow after 10am when they expect the system to be stable again. In the meantime, you can check your payment status through the Way2Go card automated phone system if you receive benefits that way. Just call the number on the back of your card and follow the prompts. If you need to speak with a DEO agent about your claim urgently, I'd recommend using Claimyr (claimyr.com). It helped me get through when I was dealing with an adjudication issue last month. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/UzW_hbUy-ss?si=zORd51jeq1GX5Ldj

Thank you! I don't have Twitter so didn't see that announcement. I do have direct deposit, not the Way2Go card, so I'll have to just wait I guess. I'll check out that Claimyr thing if I still can't get in tomorrow - never heard of it before but sounds helpful.

Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? Sometimes that helps with the CONNECT site. Also make sure you're not using a VPN - the system will kick you out if it detects one.

Just tried clearing cache and cookies but still having the same issue. I'm not using a VPN. Appreciate the suggestion though!

The CONNECT system has been absolutely TERRIBLE since they "upgraded" it last year. I was on hold with them for 4 HOURS last week trying to resolve an adjudication issue, and when I finally got through, they transferred me and I got disconnected!!! Had to start all over again the next day. I swear they make it difficult on purpose so people give up claiming their benefits. It's criminal how they treat us!

I had the exact same experience! Waited 3 hours, got transferred, then disconnected. It's like they're trained to do that lol

Update: Just checked the Florida DEO Facebook page and they posted that the CONNECT system should be back up and running properly now. They said they had a server issue this morning that's been resolved. Might be worth trying again.

Just tried again and was able to get in! Took about 15 minutes of waiting but it's working now. Thanks for the update!

For future reference, if you're having trouble with the website, sometimes checking your claim status through the mobile version works better. Go to connect.myflorida.com on your phone (not the app, just the website) and it sometimes bypasses whatever is causing the desktop version to crash.

That's a great tip, thank you! I didn't even think to try the mobile version. Will definitely keep that in mind for next time the site acts up.
