Can I edit work search records after submitting claim weeks in DEO CONNECT?

I've been claiming unemployment benefits for about 2 months now and I just realized I made a mistake on one of my work search activities that I submitted last week. Typed in the wrong company phone number for one of the places I applied to. Does anyone know if there's a way to go back and edit work search information after you've already submitted the week? And while we're at it, is there a way to actually VIEW all the work search info you've already submitted? I swear I've clicked through every menu in CONNECT and can't find where they store that information. Getting nervous because I have a fact finding appointment coming up next week and want to make sure all my work search info is correct before then. Help!

That's what I was afraid of... Do you know if there's at least a way to view what I've already submitted so I can see how bad the mistake was? I can't remember if it was just a digit off in the phone number or completely wrong.

Unfortunately, once you've submitted your work search activities for a claim week, you cannot edit them in the CONNECT system. The DEO doesn't provide any direct way to modify previously submitted information. As for viewing your past work search activities, you can see them by: 1. Log into CONNECT 2. Go to "Weekly Benefit Details" 3. Select the week you want to review 4. Click on "Week Details" 5. Scroll down to the work search section This will show you what you submitted for that specific week. I recommend taking screenshots of everything for your records in case there are any questions during your fact finding appointment.

I just had a fact finding appointment last month about my work search activities. They're mostly concerned that you're actually looking for work, not that every single detail is 100% perfect. If you made a mistake on a phone number, just explain that to them if they ask. Bring any documentation you have of your job applications (confirmation emails, etc) to back up your activities. Don't stress too much!

THIS!! The fact finding appointments are scary but not as bad as they sound. I was freaking out about mine and it lasted like 10 minutes. They just want to verify you're actually looking for work. As long as you have SOME kind of proof (screenshots of applications, emails, etc.) you should be fine with a minor phone number error.

If you're really concerned about the mistake and want to make sure it's addressed, you can try calling DEO directly to explain the situation. Of course, getting through to them is nearly impossible these days - I was able to reach them using Claimyr (claimyr.com). They have a system that gets you through to a DEO agent usually within an hour instead of days of calling. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/UzW_hbUy-ss?si=zORd51jeq1GX5Ldj I used them when I had issues with my work search verification and was able to get it resolved quickly once I actually spoke to someone. The agent can make notes on your account about the phone number correction so it's documented before your fact finding appointment.

is this service legit? seems weird to pay money just to talk to a government agency we should be able to contact anyways...

I was skeptical too but it worked for me when I was desperate. After spending literally 3 days trying to get through the regular way (constant busy signals and disconnects), I gave in and tried it. Got through to an agent in about 40 minutes. Sometimes it's worth it just to get things resolved and stop stressing.

HEADS UP TO EVERYONE!!! The DEO is getting MUCH stricter about work search verification in 2025!!! My neighbor works for them and told me they're auditing like 40% of claims now, up from like 10% before! They're looking for ANY reason to deny benefits and save the state money. DOCUMENT EVERYTHING and don't make ANY mistakes on your work search!!!!!

While it's true the DEO is conducting more work search audits this year, the 40% figure isn't accurate. According to their published data, they're reviewing approximately 15-20% of claims. And they're primarily looking for people who aren't conducting any work searches at all, not trying to deny people over minor errors like a digit in a phone number. It's still important to be accurate and thorough, but there's no need to panic over small mistakes.

UPDATE: I found my work search info using the steps @helpful_guidance provided and the mistake wasn't as bad as I thought - I transposed two digits in the phone number. I'm going to bring printouts of the email confirmation I got from that employer showing the correct contact info to my fact finding appointment just in case. Thanks everyone for the help and reassurance!

Perfect! That's exactly what they want to see - that you're making a good faith effort to look for work and can provide documentation. Transposed digits happen to everyone, they're not going to penalize you for that kind of minor error. Good luck with your appointment!

Oh that's super helpful! I couldn't find that option before but I'll look for it now. Would be great to have everything in one document for my records. Thanks for sharing this tip!
