< Back to California Unemployment

I applied for state last month as I was having a baby. Since then I have not heard anything back from outside of a “notice of computation” and that was well over 5 weeks ago; no notice of pay, no denial, nothing. My claim is under “active claims” and not “pending claims”. I have had no luck calling and very lost at this point as my “pregnancy leave window” is pretty much halfway done. Is it still worth calling? Should I just file for paid Family leave? Help.

There’s some delay but I would contact to check a status and any update. It it’s been over 5 weeks you got some notice, I would call. It’s all up to you but I found out myself that keep calling to check and push was helpful to me. 😀$5 discount link for to call https://join.claimyr.com/49a083 and choose on drop down.

has recently changed some regulations. requires all to verify their ID through ID.me due to over 345K fraud claims. Ask your to file his own part B form via online with ID Verification. The new change of caused all of claims be delayed.

Yes that and they also need to verify that the recipient is also real. In my case, it looks like it’s just me and not my MD

This is what posted the new changes; Purported medical providers must complete further identity with ID.me to potentially certify any claims. These personalized requests for medical provider through ID.me only come from an official email address ending in @edd.ca.gov. Medical providers who receive emails with information about how to verify identity through ID.me should carefully confirm the sender’s @edd.ca.gov email address. Scammers attempt to impersonate government agencies in an attempt to trick people into clicking fake links. Such scam efforts are unfortunately common and slow and payment for legitimate claimants and providers.

I called them yesterday using and got thru. They told me they had just sent out a form to me () to verify i was really me. I believe the hold up really has to do with the recent fraud bust. I read an article yesterday that stated a lot of and pays and claims we’re placed on hold as of 12/21/21 due to fraud concerns.
