How to reschedule EDD unemployment interview from 8 AM to 11 AM same day?
Hey everyone, I need some advice about rescheduling my unemployment interview. I originally had it set for 8-10 AM, but I can't make that time anymore. Has anyone had experience changing their interview time? I'm hoping to get it moved to 11 AM on the same day. Any tips on how to go about this or what to expect?

PSA: Don't forget to certify for benefits every two weeks, even if you're waiting for an interview or decision. It'll save you headaches later!

For real. I've been waiting 3 months for my claim to be processed. It's insane.

It does feel like an unnecessary obstacle course. Hopefully, reforms are on the way.

unpopular opinion: maybe if we all stopped complaining and started looking for jobs, we wouldn't need to deal with EDD π€·ββοΈ

Hey OP, just curious - is this your first interview? I'm about to have mine and I'm kinda nervous. Any idea what they ask?

Yep, it's my first one. I'm pretty nervous too. From what I've heard, they ask about your work history and why you're unemployed.

Just a heads up, make sure you're prepared for your interview whenever it happens. They might ask about your work search efforts, so have that info ready. Good luck!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's the link: https://claimyr.com

Guys, I just had my interview last week. Here's a tip: have a calendar with your work search efforts handy. They asked me for specific dates and contacts.

I've been there before! It's usually not too hard to reschedule. Just call the EDD office and explain your situation. They're usually pretty understanding as long as you give them enough notice.

Here's what you need to know about rescheduling your unemployment interview: β’ Call the EDD office as soon as possible. The earlier you notify them, the better. β’ Have your claim number ready when you call. β’ Explain your situation clearly and politely. β’ Be flexible with new time slots they offer. β’ If you can't get through by phone, try sending an email or using their online portal. β’ Make sure to confirm the new appointment details before hanging up. β’ Set a reminder for yourself so you don't miss the rescheduled interview. Remember, it's crucial to attend this interview, so do whatever you can to make it work. Good luck!
