EDD: Certified for both weeks but still pending. Need help!

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been in the same boat before. Have you tried calling EDD? Sometimes they can push it through if you get ahold of someone.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

Here's what you need to do: 1. Check your UI Online account for any messages or requests for additional information. 2. Make sure all your certifications are filled out correctly. 3. If it's been more than 3 weeks, try contacting your local assemblyperson's office. They can sometimes expedite claims. 4. Keep calling EDD. Use the comma method to skip the intro (put commas in your phone to create pauses). 5. If all else fails, consider filing an appeal. Hang in there, the system is overwhelmed but they'll get to you eventually!

This happened to me last month. Turns out there was an identity verification issue I didn't know about. Check your spam folder for any emails from EDD!

The EDD system is such a joke. We pay into this our whole working lives and when we need it, it's broken. SMH 🤦‍♂️

Anyone else notice that pending claims seem to be more common lately? I wonder if there's a system-wide issue going on.
