EDD: Certified for both weeks but still pending. Need help!

Hey everyone, I'm really frustrated right now. I certified for both weeks of unemployment, but my status is still showing as pending for both. It's been a while and I really need to get paid. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on what I should do next?

I found a way to solve pending unemployment payments quickly, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0NVLIOSQK8

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been in the same boat before. Have you tried calling EDD? Sometimes they can push it through if you get ahold of someone.

I've been trying to call but it's impossible to get through. It's so frustrating!

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 minutes on hold last week.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

20 bucks? That's highway robbery!

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Beats spending hours on hold 🤷‍♂️

Can you give more details about how it works? Is it legit?

Sure! You just go to the website, choose the EDD line, pay, and they start calling. When they get an agent, your phone rings. Simple as that.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Check your UI Online account for any messages or requests for additional information. 2. Make sure all your certifications are filled out correctly. 3. If it's been more than 3 weeks, try contacting your local assemblyperson's office. They can sometimes expedite claims. 4. Keep calling EDD. Use the comma method to skip the intro (put commas in your phone to create pauses). 5. If all else fails, consider filing an appeal. Hang in there, the system is overwhelmed but they'll get to you eventually!

Thank you so much for this detailed response! I'll definitely try contacting my assemblyperson.

What's this comma method you mentioned? Can you explain more?

This happened to me last month. Turns out there was an identity verification issue I didn't know about. Check your spam folder for any emails from EDD!

Oh snap, I'll definitely check that. Thanks for the tip!

The EDD system is such a joke. We pay into this our whole working lives and when we need it, it's broken. SMH 🤦‍♂️

Preach! 🙌 The whole thing needs an overhaul.

It wasn't designed to handle this many claims. Cut them some slack.

Anyone else notice that pending claims seem to be more common lately? I wonder if there's a system-wide issue going on.

Now that you mention it, I've seen a lot more posts about this recently. Maybe there's a glitch?
