EDD Direct Deposit Delay: Certified but No Payment in Bank Account. Help!

Hey everyone, I'm really frustrated right now. I certified for my unemployment benefits last week, but the money still hasn't shown up in my bank account. It's been several days now and I'm starting to worry. Has anyone else experienced delays with their direct deposit recently? I really need this money to pay my bills and I'm not sure what to do next. Any advice would be appreciated!

Hey guys, I found a method to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Yep! They have staff dedicated to helping constituents with state agency problems. They can often get through to EDD faster than we can. Just google your local assembly member and give their office a call.

I switched to direct deposit last month. It was pretty easy to set up in the UI Online portal. Can't say it's faster, but at least I don't have to deal with that annoying debit card anymore.
