EDD Callback Hell: Waited All Day, Still No Answer - Help!
I've been trying to get through to the unemployment office since 9 AM this morning. It's now almost closing time and I still haven't gotten a callback. This is ridiculous! I've been waiting all day, and now I'm worried they're going to close before I can talk to anyone. Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips on how to actually get through to a real person?

Welcome to the club, buddy. I've been trying for WEEKS to get through. It's like they don't want us to actually get our benefits 🙄

•Same boat here. Its like playing the lottery, except instead of winning money, you get to talk to a human for 5 minutes 🎰🤡

Pro tip: call right when they open. I mean EXACTLY when they open. Set an alarm, have the number ready, and start dialing at 7:59:59. Sometimes you can get through before the queue fills up.

•This! I finally got through using this method. Took me 3 days of trying, but it worked eventually.

Guys, I found a method that actually works! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

•I get the skepticism, but it seriously worked for me. After weeks of trying, I was desperate enough to give it a shot. Worth every penny tbh

•How long did it take to get through using this service?

•It took about 2 hours for me, but I didn't have to do anything. Just waited for the call. Way better than being stuck to my phone all day!

Have you tried reaching out to your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things through or at least get you in touch with someone who can help.

The whole system is broken. They need to hire more people or upgrade their tech or SOMETHING. It's insane that we have to jump through so many hoops just to get what we're entitled to.

•For real. You'd think after all this time they'd have figured out a better way to handle the volume.

Here's what I've learned after months of dealing with this: 1. Persistence is key. Keep trying every day. 2. Try different times. Sometimes mid-day is less busy than morning or end of day. 3. If you get through to anyone, even if they can't help directly, ask for a direct number or extension for the department you need. 4. Keep detailed notes of every call, including date, time, and who you spoke to. 5. Check your online account regularly for updates or messages. 6. Consider reaching out via social media. Sometimes their Twitter team is more responsive. 7. As a last resort, contact your local representative or the office of the governor. Hang in there, OP. It's frustrating, but you'll get through eventually!

•Thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely try some of these strategies. Did any one of these work particularly well for you?

•Honestly, it was a combination of all of them. But reaching out on Twitter actually got me a callback within 48 hours. Worth a shot!

Has anyone tried faxing? I know it sounds old school, but I've heard some people have had success getting responses that way.
