Agent's system down, call dropped - what to do next?

So I finally got through to an agent after waiting on hold forever, and they said they were working remotely and their system was down. They said they'd transfer my call, but then it just dropped. Has anyone else dealt with this? It's so frustrating to wait all that time just to get disconnected. Any advice on what to do next?

Ugh, that sucks! I've had similar issues. It's like they don't want us to actually get help. Have you tried calling back? Sometimes you get lucky and reach someone who can actually assist.

Yeah, I've been trying to call back but keep getting the busy signal. It's like hitting my head against a wall 😫

Pro tip: try calling right when they open. I've had better luck getting through that way.

Thanks for the tip! I'll give that a shot tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed 🤞

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

I was skeptical at first too, but it really did work for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

20 bucks tho? That's kinda steep just to talk to someone...

I get it, but for me, it was worth it to finally get my issue resolved. Time is money, ya know?

This is why we need better funding for these agencies. They're clearly understaffed and working with outdated systems. Have you tried reaching out to your local representative about this issue?

Here's what I've learned after dealing with this for way too long: 1. Document everything. Write down who you talked to, when, and what they said. 2. Be persistent. Keep calling, even if it's frustrating. 3. Try different times of day. Early morning or late afternoon can sometimes be less busy. 4. Use their online portal if they have one. Sometimes you can get answers there without calling. 5. If all else fails, contact your local representative or ombudsman. They can sometimes cut through the red tape. Hang in there, OP. It's a broken system, but eventually you'll get through!

A fax? What year is it? 😂 But seriously, I'll try anything at this point. Thanks for the suggestion!

Not to be that guy, but have you checked their website? Sometimes they post system outage updates there. Might save you some time if their whole system is down.
