EDD Certification Button Missing After Reopening Claim - Help!
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle with my unemployment claim. I got laid off last week and tried to reopen my claim, but now I can't certify. The certification button just isn't there! I originally opened the claim about 5 months ago, and when I tried to certify the other day, the option was missing. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on what to do next?

I won my EDD appeal after being denied benefits initially. I had about $8,000 in benefits and just received my last payment. I got a notice saying EDD will let me know if I qualify for an extension, but I can't wait due to financial difficulties. I'm trying to get the process started ASAP. Has anyone been through this? Any advice on how to extend benefits or what to ask when I finally get through to an agent?

EDD Nightmare: Denied Workers Comp, Can't Reach Anyone for Disability Benefits. Help!
I'm having trouble with my disability claim. It started as a workers comp claim but I was denied, so now I need to get regular disability benefits. I can't get through to anyone on the phone and there's no status update on the website. Has anyone else dealt with this? How did you manage to speak to a real person?

Quick question - did you appeal the workers comp denial? Sometimes that's faster than starting a new disability claim from scratch.

You should've received info about appealing with your denial notice. If not, check the workers comp board website. There's usually a deadline, so act fast!
Hot take: the system is designed to be this difficult on purpose to discourage people from claiming benefits. Change my mind. 🤔
