Patient benefits delayed 2 days - anyone else experiencing this with EDD?
My patient's benefits are delayed by 2 days. Is anyone else experiencing this? I'm worried about how this might affect their ability to receive their benefits on time. Has anyone dealt with this before or know what I should do?

Ugh, I feel ya. My patient's benefits were delayed last month too. It's so frustrating when the system doesn't work like it should. Have you tried calling the benefits office? Sometimes they can expedite things if you explain the situation.

•I've been trying to call all morning but can't get through. It's like they don't want us to reach them 🙄

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I usually have better luck getting through then.

This happens way too often. The whole system needs an overhaul tbh. Have you checked if there's any online portal where you can check the status? Sometimes that's faster than calling.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work?

•Yeah, it actually does! I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of hold time.

•For me, it was worth every penny. Time is money, and this saved me a ton of time and frustration.

Have you considered reaching out to your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things through faster. Worth a shot if you're really stuck.

•That's a great idea! I hadn't even thought of that. Do you know how I would go about contacting them?

•Just google your area + state representative. They usually have a contact form or office number on their website. Good luck!

This is why I always tell my patients to have a small emergency fund if possible. The system is so unpredictable 😑

Okay, let me break this down for you. I've been dealing with the benefits system for years, and here's what I've learned: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your calls, who you spoke to, and what they said. 2. Be persistent. Sometimes you have to call multiple times to get someone who can actually help. 3. Know your rights. Familiarize yourself with the benefits policies so you can advocate effectively. 4. Use multiple channels. Try phone, email, and even social media to get attention. 5. Consider filing a formal complaint if the delay is causing serious issues. 6. Reach out to patient advocacy groups. They often have resources and connections that can help. 7. As a last resort, consider legal aid if the situation becomes dire. Remember, you're not alone in this. The system can be a nightmare, but don't give up. Your patient is lucky to have someone fighting for them. 💪

Have you checked if theres been any system updates or maintenance recently? Sometimes that can cause delays. Might be worth asking about when you get through.
