PFL requesting more info - what should I expect and how to prepare?
Hey everyone, I just got a request from PFL asking for more information. Has anyone else dealt with this? What kind of info do they usually want? I'm not sure what to expect or how to prepare. Any advice would be really appreciated!

Ugh, PFL and their endless requests for info š I've been through this before. They usually want stuff like medical records, employment history, and detailed income info. My advice? Gather EVERYTHING you can think of related to your claim. Better to have too much than not enough.

ā¢This ā¬ļø šÆ Always better to over-prepare. PFL can be real sticklers about documentation.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

ā¢Sounds too good to be true. Does it actually work?

ā¢Yeah, it really does! Saved me hours of hold time. Worth every penny imo

Here's what I've learned from my experience with PFL: ⢠Medical documentation: They want detailed records from your healthcare provider ⢠Employment verification: Pay stubs, letter from employer ⢠Income history: Usually last 3-6 months ⢠Identification: Driver's license, passport, etc. ⢠Claim-specific info: Depends on your situation Pro tip: Create a checklist and work through it methodically. And ALWAYS keep copies of everything you send them!

ā¢It's frustrating, but I guess they need to verify everything to prevent fraud. Still a pain tho

Hey OP, what exactly did they ask for in your case? Might help us give more specific advice if we know what theyre looking for

ā¢They weren't super specific in the letter, just said they need 'additional information to process my claim'. That's why I'm kinda lost š

ā¢Ah gotcha. Typical vague bureaucracy bs. Might be worth giving them a call to clarify exactly what they need.

Word of advice: keep a log of every interaction you have with PFL. Date, time, who you spoke to, what was discussed. Trust me, it'll save you headaches down the road.

Been through this twice now - the key is to be proactive! When they send that vague "additional information" request, call them ASAP to get specifics. In my experience, they usually want employment verification (like a letter from HR), medical documentation if it's health-related, and sometimes wage statements. Also, send everything via certified mail or their online portal if they have one - regular mail has a habit of "disappearing" with government agencies. Good luck! š¤
