I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's what I've learned after dealing with this nightmare for months: 1. Be persistent. Call multiple times a day if you have to. 2. Have all your info ready when you call. They'll ask for your claim number, SSN, etc. 3. Try different times of day. Sometimes mid-afternoon is less busy. 4. Use the online portal to submit any documents you can. 5. If you get through, ask for a direct number or extension for follow-ups. 6. Document EVERYTHING. Names, dates, what was said. 7. Consider reaching out to your local representative for help.
