PFL processing nightmare: Can't reach anyone on phone. Help!

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble getting my paid family leave processed. I've been trying to get through to someone on the phone for days now, but it's impossible. Has anyone else had this issue? Any tips on how to actually reach a human being? I'm starting to get really frustrated and worried about my benefits.

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Nah, you just put in the number you want them to call and pay. They do all the waiting and menu navigation for you. When they get a real person, your phone rings. Simple as that.

Here's what I've learned after dealing with this nightmare for months: 1. Be persistent. Call multiple times a day if you have to. 2. Have all your info ready when you call. They'll ask for your claim number, SSN, etc. 3. Try different times of day. Sometimes mid-afternoon is less busy. 4. Use the online portal to submit any documents you can. 5. If you get through, ask for a direct number or extension for follow-ups. 6. Document EVERYTHING. Names, dates, what was said. 7. Consider reaching out to your local representative for help. Pro tip: if you can't get through on the main line, try calling some of the other departments and ask to be transferred. Sometimes works like a charm 😉
