PFL claim filed a month ago, still no payment. Anyone else experiencing delays?
Has anyone else been waiting forever for their paid family leave payment? I filed over a month ago and still haven't seen a dime. This is getting ridiculous. I've got bills to pay and mouths to feed. Anyone know what's going on or how to speed things up?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been waiting for 6 weeks now. It's like they're purposely trying to make us suffer. Have you tried calling them? I've heard some people have had luck getting through and getting answers.

I've tried calling but it's impossible to get through. Always busy or they hang up on me. It's so frustrating!

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 minutes on hold that way.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

20 bucks? That's highway robbery! The government should make it easier to reach them without having to pay extra.

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. After weeks of trying to get through, I was desperate. The $20 was worth it to finally talk to someone and get my claim moving.

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes they update the status there before sending out payments. Might give you an idea of where things stand.

This is why we need to vote for better leadership. The whole system is broken and nobody seems to care about fixing it. We're just little people trying to survive while they sit in their fancy offices ignoring our problems. 😡

Preach! 🙌 It's time for a revolution in how these agencies are run. We deserve better!

Hey there, former EDD employee here. Let me break down what might be happening and what you can do: 1. Backlog: There's usually a huge backlog of claims, especially after holidays or at the start of a new quarter. 2. Incomplete info: Make sure you've submitted ALL required documents. Missing even one can hold up your entire claim. 3. Employer verification: Sometimes it takes a while for your employer to verify your claim. Follow up with your HR department. 4. System glitches: Yep, the EDD system is old and buggy. Sometimes claims get stuck for no good reason. What you can do: - Keep calling. It sucks, but persistence pays off. - Contact your local state representative. They can sometimes expedite claims. - Double-check your online account for any messages or requests for additional info. - If you're really desperate, consider the paid calling service someone mentioned above. I've heard it works, but use at your own risk. Hang in there! I know it's tough, but your payment will come through eventually.

Thank you so much for this detailed response! It's really helpful to understand what might be going on behind the scenes. I'll definitely follow up with my HR and keep trying to call.

Have you tried faxing your documents? I know it sounds ancient, but I've heard some people have had success getting attention to their claims that way. Worth a shot!

What year is it, 1995? 😂 But seriously, if it works, it works. Desperate times call for desperate measures!

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. It's so stressful not knowing when the money will come through. Sending positive vibes your way, OP. We're all in this together. ❤️
