PFL Application Status Stuck - No Updates for Weeks. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble getting updates on my PFL status. I submitted my application a while ago and haven't heard anything back. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on how to get some information about where my application stands? I'm thinking about sending an email to inquire, but I'm not sure what to say or who to contact. Any help would be appreciated!

Ugh, I feel ya. The PFL system is such a mess rn. I waited FOREVER to hear back about my status. Have you tried calling them? It's a pain, but sometimes that's the only way to get answers.

I haven't tried calling yet. The thought of being on hold for hours is giving me anxiety 😫 Did you actually get through to someone when you called?

Yeah, it took a few tries but I finally got through. Just be prepared to waste half your day on hold. Bring snacks lol

Pro tip: call right when they open. You might have a better chance of getting through quickly.

Good template, but don't forget to include your claim number if you have one. It'll help them find your application faster.

I found a way to get someone on the phone without the endless hold times. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this? Kinda skeptical about paying for something like this...

I get the skepticism, but it seriously saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo. You can always try the regular way first if you're not sure.

How does it work exactly? Do they give you an estimated wait time or anything?

Yeah, they give you an estimate. When an agent picks up, you get a call. No more listening to that awful hold music for hours!

have you checked your online account? sometimes they update the status there before sending out notifications

The whole PFL system is a JOKE. I've been waiting for 3 months with no updates. This is ridiculous! We need to start a petition or something to get them to fix this broken system. Who's with me? 😤

Calm down, Karen. Everyone's dealing with delays. They're probably understaffed and overworked.

Oh, I'm sorry, is it too much to ask for basic communication about OUR MONEY? 🙄

Hey OP, just a heads up - make sure all your docs are in order. I thought I submitted everything correctly, but turns out they needed additional info and never notified me. Double-check your account or give em a call to make sure they're not waiting on anything from you. Good luck!

Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely double-check everything. Did they tell you what specific docs were missing when you called?

In my case, they needed additional medical certification. But it could be different for everyone. Best to check your specific case.
