EDD recomputation nightmare - 3rd update and still no resolution. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my EDD recomputation. This is the third time I've had to update it and I'm getting really frustrated. Has anyone else gone through this process multiple times? I'm worried about getting everything sorted out in time. Any advice on how to make sure I'm doing everything correctly?

Ugh, I feel your pain! I've had to update my recomputation twice now. It's such a headache. Have you tried calling them directly? Sometimes talking to a real person can help sort things out faster.

•I've been trying to call but it's impossible to get through. I've been on hold for hours and then get disconnected. It's so frustrating!

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I managed to get through after only 30 minutes on hold that way.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

•Can you give more details about how it works? Is it legit?

•Sure! You just go to the website, choose the EDD line, pay, and they start calling. When they get a real person, your phone rings. It's pretty simple.

Here's what I've learned about recomputations after going through it multiple times: 1. Double-check all your income information before submitting. Any discrepancies can cause delays. 2. Keep copies of all your documents, including pay stubs and tax forms. 3. If you're using UI Online, make sure to upload any requested documents promptly. 4. Be patient. Sometimes it takes a few weeks for the recomputation to process. 5. If you haven't heard back after 3 weeks, try to contact them. 6. Use the 'Ask EDD' feature on their website for specific questions. 7. If all else fails, contact your local assembly member's office. They can sometimes help expedite things. Hope this helps! Hang in there, OP. We're all in the same boat. 💪

•Totally agree. It's almost like they hope we'll give up so they don't have to pay us.

Has anyone tried faxing their documents instead of uploading them online? I heard it might be faster.

•What year is it, 1995? 🤣 But seriously, I've heard mixed things about faxing. Some say it works, others say it's a black hole.

•I tried faxing once. Never got a confirmation and had to resubmit everything online anyway. YMMV

Just a heads up, I saw on Twitter that EDD is experiencing some technical issues with their system right now. Might explain some of the delays people are experiencing.
