EDD Delayed Payment + Banned After Asking for Refund - What Can I Do?

I've been a loyal customer for years and recently had a really bad experience with customer service. They were so disrespectful! I explained my problem with my delayed payment and asked about getting a refund, but instead of helping me, they just decided to ban me entirely. I ended up agreeing not to get a refund because they said it wasn't their fault, but now I'm not so sure. Has anyone else dealt with terrible customer service like this? What can I do about my delayed payment now?

Man, that sucks! I've had similar issues with customer service before. It's like they don't even care about loyal customers anymore. Have you tried escalating to a supervisor or manager?

I tried, but they just kept giving me the runaround. It's so frustrating!

Classic move. They always protect their own. 🙄 Maybe try reaching out on social media? Sometimes that gets their attention.

Ugh, delayed payments are the worst. I've been dealing with EDD for months now. Have you tried calling them directly? It's a pain, but sometimes you can get through if you keep trying.

I've tried calling so many times, but I always get stuck on hold forever. It's like they don't want us to reach them!

Pro tip: call right when they open. Sometimes you can get through faster that way.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site called claimyr.com. It's a calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, and then sends the call to your phone when a live agent picks up. It costs $20, but it worked for me. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

I get it, but when you're dealing with delayed payments, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. 🤷‍♂️

Here's what you need to do about your delayed payment: 1. Document everything. Keep a record of all your interactions, including dates, times, and names of representatives you speak with. 2. File a formal complaint. Most agencies have a process for this. Be detailed and stick to the facts. 3. Reach out to your local government representative. They often have staff dedicated to helping constituents with these issues. 4. Consider legal aid. If the delay is causing serious financial hardship, there might be free legal resources available. 5. Stay persistent. Unfortunately, these things often require multiple follow-ups. Remember, you have rights as a claimant. Don't let them give you the runaround!

The whole system is broken. They make it so hard on purpose so people just give up. It's a disgrace. 😤

Preach! 🙌 It's like they forget we're real people with bills to pay.

Hey OP, sorry youre dealing with this. I work in customer service (not for EDD) and heres a tip: ask for a callback instead of waiting on hold. Also, be super nice even if youre frustrated. We're more likely to go the extra mile for pleasant customers. Good luck!
