Stuck in payment limbo: Wrong department transfer & refund struggle. Any tips?

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with a payment I made recently. I called to check on the status but ended up getting transferred to the wrong department. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to get a refund or at least get connected to the right people? It's so frustrating when you're just trying to get a simple answer!

Ugh, I feel your pain! I've been in the same boat before. It's like they purposely make it difficult to get any help. Have you tried calling again and specifically asking for the payments department?

Yeah, I tried that but kept getting stuck in an endless phone tree. It's so annoying!

Pro tip: sometimes if you just keep pressing 0, it'll eventually connect you to a human. Worth a shot!

Thanks for the tip! I'll give that a try next time.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

I was skeptical at first too, but it actually worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

For me, it was worth every penny. Time is money, and I wasted way more than $20 worth of time trying to get through on my own.

Have you tried reaching out on social media? Sometimes tweeting at them or messaging on Facebook can get a quicker response.

This is why I always use a credit card for payments. It's so much easier to dispute charges if something goes wrong.

💯 This right here. Credit cards have way better consumer protections.

I work in customer service (not for this company tho). Here's what I'd recommend: 1. Document everything. Write down who you talked to, when, and what they said. 2. Ask for a supervisor if the first person can't help. 3. Be polite but firm. Explain your situation clearly. 4. If all else fails, file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Hope this helps! Good luck!

This is great advice. I'd add: don't be afraid to escalate to higher management if needed.
