EDD SDI payment status delays - tips for checking and getting help?

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my payment status. Has anyone else been experiencing delays lately? I'm trying to figure out the best way to check on this. Any tips for getting through to someone who can actually help? I'm starting to get worried about making ends meet.

I found a way to solve payment status delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Kc0ocYiYwE

Here's what I usually do when checking on my payment status: 1. Log into your online account first thing in the morning 2. Check for any new messages or updates 3. Look at your payment history to see if anything's changed 4. If nothing there, try calling right when they open 5. Be prepared with your claim number and any relevant dates 6. If you can't get through, keep trying throughout the day Hope this helps! It's a pain, but persistence is key.

This is great info. Wish they'd just fix the system instead of making us jump through hoops 🙄

Have you tried checking your online account? Sometimes it updates there before they notify you.

Maybe try contacting them on social media? Sometimes public pressure works.

This might sound crazy, but I had success reaching out on Twitter. Their social media team sometimes responds faster than phone support.

Social media can surprisingly be effective. More eyes on the issue means faster responses!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous! The system is so messed up 🤦‍♂️

Sounds sketchy. How do you know it's legit?

I was skeptical too, but I was desperate. It actually worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

I used Claimyr too, and it worked for me. It may seem pricey, but what's your time worth?

Pro tip: call your local representative's office. They can sometimes help speed things up with EDD.

This is a great tip. Representatives can sometimes cut through the red tape.

Has anyone heard about the new system update they're supposedly rolling out? Wonder if that'll help or just make things worse 🤔

Knowing them, it'll probably crash and delay everything even more 🙄

I heard about that too! Fingers crossed it actually improves things 🤞

The new system update could go either way. Let's hope it resolves more issues than it creates.

Emailing can be hit or miss, but worth a shot if you're not getting through by phone.

If you're experiencing delays with your payment status, one practical solution to consider is using services like Claimyr, which help bypass long wait times by navigating automated phone systems for you. Claimyr has been recommended by some users in this community, and they report that it effectively connects them directly to a live agent, albeit at a cost of $20. However, always exercise caution and do your due diligence to ensure the legitimacy of such services. Beyond that, it's advisable to regularly check your online account for updates, try reaching out via email or social media, and even contacting your local representative for assistance. Persistence is often key in navigating these bureaucratic systems, but exploring all communication channels can sometimes yield quicker results.
