Can I see my PFL baby bonding payments in my regular EDD online account history?
I'm about to transition from disability to baby bonding PFL next month and I'm trying to figure out how payment tracking works. When PFL payments start coming in, will they show up in the same EDD online account where I can see my regular unemployment history from last year? Or is there a totally separate system for viewing PFL payment history? I'm trying to plan my budget for when I'm on leave and need to know where to check for payment updates. Thanks!

Yes, your PFL baby bonding payments will show up in your regular EDD online account, but in a different section. Look for the

Thank you so much! That's exactly what I needed to know. Do you happen to know if PFL payments come on the same schedule as disability payments? I've been getting disability every two weeks like clockwork.

This! I freaked out when my account showed nothing for 5 days after my disability ended. Called EDD 27 times before getting through only to be told it was normal processing time. So frustrating!

According to my experience last year, PFL payments show in the same online portal but there's one important detail - there's a gap period between your last disability payment and first PFL payment that can cause budget issues if you're not prepared. My disability ended June 9th but my first PFL payment didn't hit until June 28th! The system technically showed everything but that 3-week gap nearly caused me to miss rent.\n\nMake sure you have some savings to cover that transition period. Also, if you don't see payments updating online after 10+ days, don't wait - call EDD directly. The online system sometimes doesn't update correctly during benefit transitions.

THANK YOU for mentioning this gap!!! Nobody told me about this when I had my baby in 2023 and I nearly had a breakdown thinking my PFL claim was denied or something. EDD should really warn people about this gap period instead of leaving new parents panicking about money right after having a baby!!

I went through this exact transition in January. Here's what you need to know:\n\n1. Yes, PFL payments show in the same EDD account as disability/unemployment\n2. The transition isn't always smooth - there's often a processing gap between disability ending and PFL starting (budget for 2-3 weeks with no payment)\n3. Your online account will show \

This is incredibly helpful, thank you! I'll make sure to have extra savings for that gap period - nobody mentioned that to me before. I've already submitted my DE2501F but was confused about how to track the payments once they start. This clears things up!

Try calling Claimyr (claimyr.com) if you need to reach EDD during your transition period. I was stuck in that weird limbo between disability ending and PFL starting for WEEKS with nothing showing in my account. Called EDD directly over 30 times with no luck. Then I tried Claimyr and got connected to an EDD rep in 20 minutes who fixed the issue immediately - turns out my form had been received but not processed. They have a video demo that shows how it works: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM?si=6N1iCQ3a8Cdb2Ay5. Saved me from a total financial disaster while on leave with my newborn.

It's definitely legit. I was skeptical too but I was desperate after not being paid for almost 3 weeks. They just help you get through to EDD faster - you still talk directly with the actual EDD representatives. Way better than calling 50+ times on your own while trying to care for a newborn.

One other important tip - take screenshots of your payment history regularly! I had an issue where payments showed as \

THIS THIS THIS! EDD's system glitched and showed I was overpaid by $3,400 and they tried to make me pay it back! I had screenshots of everything and it took THREE MONTHS to resolve. DOCUMENT EVERYTHING!

I remember being so confused about this last year! Just to add my experience - yes, all payments show in your regular EDD account but the categorization isn't always super clear. Sometimes they label things weird and it's confusing. I just had my second baby and this time I created a simple spreadsheet to track expected payment dates/amounts and then matched them against what showed up in my account. Made things much easier to understand.

That spreadsheet idea is brilliant! I'm definitely going to do that to stay organized. Thanks for the tip!
