Can I get an EDD PFL callback before 9am? Need early morning help!
Hey everyone, I'm trying to get a callback from the EDD about my Paid Family Leave claim. Does anyone know if it's possible to get a callback before 9am? I really need to talk to someone early in the morning. Any tips or experiences would be appreciated!

Unfortunately, most government agencies don't start their business hours until 8 or 9 AM. Your best bet is to try and get on the list as early as possible in the morning. Good luck!

•Yeah, I've had the same experience. It's frustrating when you need to talk to someone before work 😤

•Have you tried calling right when they open? Sometimes you can get through faster that way.

•Thanks for the advice! I'll give it a shot tomorrow morning and see if I can get through.

I found a way to get someone on the phone without waiting for hours. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•20 bucks? Idk man, seems kinda steep for a phone call 🤔

•I get the skepticism, but it honestly saved me so much time and frustration. Worth every penny imo.

•How long did it take for them to call you back?

•It took about 2 hours, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music the whole time. Just went about my day until my phone rang.

Pro tip: If you need an early morning callback, try submitting your request online the night before. Sometimes they process those first thing in the morning.

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member's office? Sometimes they can help expedite things with EDD.

•I hadn't thought of that! Do you know how I would go about contacting them?

•Just google '[your city] assembly member' and you should find their contact info. Give their office a call and explain your situation.

LPT: Keep a detailed log of all your calls, who you spoke to, and what was said. It'll help if you need to escalate your case later on.

Guys, I've been dealing with EDD for months now and I've learned a few tricks. Here's what I've found works best: 1. Call right when they open. Like, set an alarm and be ready to dial at 7:59 AM. 2. If you can't get through, keep redialing. It's annoying, but persistence pays off. 3. Use the online portal as much as possible. Sometimes you can resolve issues without calling. 4. If you do get a callback scheduled, make sure you're in a quiet place with good cell reception. 5. Have all your documents ready before the call. They might ask for claim numbers, dates, etc. 6. Be polite but firm. The person on the other end is probably dealing with angry people all day. 7. If all else fails, contact your local representative. They can sometimes work miracles. Hope this helps someone! We're all in this together. 💪
