UI claim delayed after submitting new medical info - 10 week auto pay not working?
Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my unemployment claim. I filed back in June and provided some new medical info in February. I was supposed to get automatic payments for 10 weeks, but now it's delayed. Anyone else dealing with this? Any ideas why this might be happening?

Ugh, the system is so messed up. I've been waiting on my payments for weeks too. It's like they just throw our claims into a black hole or something.

•Tell me about it! I swear they do this on purpose to make us give up 🙄

•Their best? 🤣 That's a good one. If this is their best, we're all doomed.

The new medical information you provided might be the reason for the delay. When you submit new docs, it often triggers a review of your claim. This can pause payments until they process everything. Here's what you can try: 1. Check your online account for any new messages or requests 2. Call the EDD (I know, easier said than done) 3. If you have a disability or medical condition, make sure all required forms are filled out by your doctor 4. Be patient (I know it sucks, but sometimes that's all we can do) Hang in there, OP. The system is frustrating, but hopefully you'll get your payments soon.

•Thanks for the detailed response! I'll definitely check my online account again. Any tips on actually getting through to someone on the phone?

•Glad to help! As for calling, it's tough but here are some tricks: - Call right when they open - Use the phone tree bypass numbers (google them) - Keep redialing if you get a busy signal - Try different days of the week Good luck!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•20 bucks? That's highway robbery! The government should make it easier to reach them for free.

•I get the skepticism, but it seriously worked for me. After weeks of trying to get through, I was desperate. The $20 was worth it to finally talk to someone and get my issue resolved.

•How long did you have to wait once they started calling?

•It took about an hour and a half, but I just went about my day and waited for their call. Way better than being stuck to my phone all day hitting redial.

have you tried faxing your documents? sometimes that gets processed faster than mailing or uploading online. just a thought 🤷♂️

OP, I'm in the exact same boat. Filed in June, new med info in Feb, and now radio silence. It's so frustrating! Let me know if you figure anything out, and I'll do the same.

•Will do! Fingers crossed we both get some answers soon. This waiting game is killing me.

Plot twist: the EDD is actually run by a bunch of sloths 🦥 That's why everything takes foreverrrrr

•Nah, sloths would be an improvement. At least they're cute.

Hey, quick question - when you say "automatic payment," do you mean SDI or UI? The process can be different depending on which one you're dealing with.

•Oh, good point! I'm dealing with UI. Should've mentioned that in my original post.

•Gotcha. For UI, new medical info can definitely cause delays. They might be reevaluating your eligibility. Hang in there!
