SDI payment stopped after Dec 25 certification - No notices, need advice

Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle with my SDI payments. I certified on December 25th last year and haven't received any payment since then. It's been consistent up until now, and I haven't gotten any notices about why they stopped. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm planning to call them, but I'm not sure what to say or ask. Any advice on how to handle this situation?

Freya Ross

Ugh, I feel ya. The SDI system can be such a headache sometimes. Have you checked your online account to see if there's any pending tasks or messages? Sometimes they sneak those in without sending a separate notice.

Thanks for the suggestion! I did check my online account, but everything looks normal. No pending tasks or messages. It's like they just... forgot about me? 😅

Classic EDD move, amirite? 🙄 They're probably "reviewing" your case or some bs like that. Keep pushin for answers!

I had a similar issue last year. Turns out there was a glitch in their system that flagged my account for no reason. Took weeks to sort out. Here's what I'd recommend: 1. Call them ASAP. Be persistent. 2. Explain your situation clearly: certified on time, no issues before, no notices received. 3. Ask if there's any flag or hold on your account. 4. Request a timeline for resolution. 5. Get the name of who you speak with and a reference number for the call. Good luck! The system's a mess, but don't give up. 💪

Wow, thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely follow these steps. Fingers crossed it's just a glitch like in your case. 🤞

This is solid advice. I'd add: keep a log of all your calls and interactions. It might come in handy if things drag on.

Hey, I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Anyone else tried it?

Totally legit! I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

$20 to actually talk to a human? Sad that we've come to this, but might be worth it if it works 🤷‍♂️

I've used it twice now. Worked both times. Just make sure you're ready when they call you back!

have you tried faxing them? I know it sounds old school but sometimes it gets faster results than calling or emailing.

This happened to me once and it turned out my doctor hadn't sent in some required paperwork. Might be worth checking with your healthcare provider to make sure everything's up to date on their end.

Oh, I hadn't even thought of that! I'll give my doc's office a call tomorrow. Thanks for the tip!

OP, whatever you do, DON'T GIVE UP! The system is designed to wear you down, but stay strong. Your entitled to your benefits and dont let anyone tell u otherwise!

idk if this helps, but there was a news article last week about SDI facing some tech issues. Maybe your case got caught up in that? Here's the link: [insert fake news link]

Good find! OP, you might want to mention this when you call. Could explain the delay.
