SDI payment missing since July 31st - What to do?
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I haven't gotten my SDI payment since the end of July. It's been over a month now and I'm starting to get worried. Has anyone else experienced this kind of delay? I'm not sure what to do next. Should I call them? Any advice would be really appreciated!

Ugh, I feel your pain. I went through something similar last year. Have you tried checking your account online? Sometimes there's info there that can help.

Yeah, I checked online but there's nothing new there. It just shows my last payment from July. 😕

Dang, that sucks. Definitely time to give them a call then. Good luck!

Calling is probably your best bet at this point. But be prepared to wait on hold FOREVER. Last time I called, I was on hold for like 3 hours. It's ridiculous.

I found a way to get someone on the phone without the crazy wait times. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

I was skeptical at first too, but it really worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

20 bucks tho? Idk man, seems steep just to make a phone call.

I get it, but for me, it was worth not having to sit by my phone all day. Time is money, ya know?

Here's what you need to do when you get someone on the phone: 1. Be polite but firm. These folks deal with angry people all day. 2. Have all your info ready - claim number, dates of last payment, etc. 3. Ask them to check for any flags or issues on your account. 4. If they can't help, ask to speak to a supervisor. 5. Get the name and ID of everyone you talk to. 6. Take notes during the call. Hope this helps! Let us know how it goes.

Great advice! I'd add: ask them for a direct number or extension if possible. Makes follow-ups way easier.

Right?! It's like, do they not realize we have bills to pay? 🙄

Pro tip: if you can't get through on the main line, try calling right when they open. I've had better luck that way.

Anybody else notice that these issues always seem to happen around the end of the fiscal year? 🤔 Coincidence? I think not.
