SDI extension taking weeks to process - how to check payment status?
Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my SDI benefits. I was told by the release of information department that my claim extension might take several weeks to process. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm trying to find out the status of my SDI payment and I'm not sure what to do next. Any advice would be appreciated!

I found a way to solve SDI claim extension delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydd5tyCfvj4

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been dealing with SDI for months now and it's been a nightmare. Have you tried calling them directly? Sometimes that's the only way to get any real answers.

•I've tried calling but I can never get through. It's so frustrating! How long did it take for you to finally reach someone?

•It took me like 3 days of constant redialing. I literally had to set aside entire mornings just to try and get through. It's ridiculous how understaffed they are.

•3 days? You got lucky! I've been trying for weeks and still nothing. This system is completely broken 😡

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this? I'm skeptical about paying for something like this.

•I get the skepticism, but it really did work for me. The $20 was worth it considering how much time and frustration it saved me. Plus, I finally got my issue resolved.

•I used it too! Totally worth it. Got through in like an hour when I had been trying for days on my own.

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes they update the status there before they actually send out any notifications.

I'm in the same boat, OP. Been waiting for weeks now. The whole system is a joke. They expect us to live off air while they take their sweet time processing our claims. 🤡

•Preach! 👏 It's like they forget we have bills to pay and families to feed. The bureaucracy is out of control.

Here's what I've learned from my experience with SDI extensions: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your calls, who you spoke to, and what they said. 2. If possible, submit any additional documentation online through your SDI account. 3. Reach out to your state representative. Sometimes they can help expedite things. 4. Be persistent but polite when you do get through to someone. 5. Check your mail carefully. Sometimes they send requests for additional info that can delay your claim if you miss them. Hang in there, OP. It's a frustrating process, but keep at it!

•Wow, thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely start keeping better records. Have you had any luck with contacting state reps?

•Yes, actually! My state assembly member's office was surprisingly helpful. They have liaisons who can sometimes cut through the red tape faster than we can on our own.

Quick question - did you make sure all your medical documentation was up to date and submitted? That was what held up my extension for ages.

•Oh no, I'm not sure actually. How did you find out what documentation they needed?

•I had to call and speak to a rep. They told me exactly what forms were missing. It's a pain, but worth double-checking!
