SDI Spanish Line: Impossible to Reach? Need Tips!
Hey everyone, I'm trying to get through to the Spanish line for SDI (State Disability Insurance). Has anyone had any luck recently? I've been trying for days and it's always busy or I get disconnected. Any tips or tricks would be really appreciated!

Ugh, I feel your pain! The Spanish SDI line is notoriously difficult to get through. I've had some success calling right when they open in the morning, but it's still hit or miss. Have you tried using the online portal instead? Sometimes it's easier to get answers there.

Thanks for the tip! I've tried the online portal, but my specific issue requires talking to someone. I'll try calling first thing tomorrow morning and see if that helps.

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this? $20 seems steep just to make a phone call.

I get the skepticism, but it seriously saved me hours of frustration. The $20 was worth it for me to actually talk to someone and get my issue resolved.

Can you give more details about how it works? Do they guarantee you'll get through?

Sure! Basically, you choose the line you want to call on their website, pay the fee, and then their system starts calling. It navigates the phone tree and waits on hold. When a real person picks up, it forwards the call to your phone. They don't guarantee it'll work every time, but if it doesn't, you can try again for free.

Have you tried contacting your local assemblymember's office? They sometimes have direct lines to SDI and can help push things through faster. Worth a shot if you're really stuck!

Oof, the Spanish SDI line is the worst 🤮 I've been trying for weeks. Anyone know if there's a best time of day to call? I'm bout ready to learn English just to use the other line lmao

LOL mood. But fr, I've had better luck calling mid-week around 2pm. Seems like less people are calling then.

As someone who's been through this rodeo before, here's my comprehensive guide to getting through on the Spanish SDI line: • Timing is key: Call right when they open (8:00 AM) or try mid-afternoon (2:00-3:00 PM) • Be persistent: Sometimes you gotta call 20+ times in a row • Use multiple phones if possible: Increases your chances of getting through • Have all your info ready: They'll ask for your SSN, claim number, etc. • Be polite: The reps are dealing with frustrated people all day • If all else fails: Consider using a paid service like others have mentioned, or contact your local representative Remember, patience is key. The system is overwhelmed, but keep at it and you'll get through eventually. ¡Buena suerte!

unpopular opinion: maybe if we all learned English, we wouldn't have these problems 🤷♂️

Dude, not cool. People have the right to access government services in their native language. Check your privilege.

Has anyone tried using Google Voice or another VOIP service? I've heard it can help bypass the busy signals sometimes.

I tried that last month, didn't make a difference for me. Still got the same busy signals 😞

Honestly, the whole SDI system needs an overhaul. It's ridiculous that in 2023 we're still struggling to get basic support. Anyone know if there are any plans to improve the system?

I heard they were gonna upgrade the phone systems last year, but obvs that didn't happen. Typical government efficiency 🙄

Preach! 👏 We should start a petition or something. This is getting out of hand.
