Missed EDD call - How to get another callback for payment issue?
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my EDD payment. My son had my phone and missed the call from them. Does anyone know if I can get another call or what I should do now? I really need this payment to come through.

Ugh, that sucks! I've been there before. Have you tried calling them back? Sometimes if you explain the situation, they might be able to reschedule the call.

•Thanks for the suggestion. I've been trying to call them back all day, but I keep getting a busy signal. It's so frustrating!

•Pro tip: try calling right when they open. I had better luck getting through that way.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•I was skeptical at first too, but it really worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

•How long did it take for them to call you back?

•It took about 2 hours for me, but I've heard it can vary. Still way faster than trying to get through on your own.

The EDD system is such a joke. They expect us to be available 24/7 but can't even manage to keep their phone lines open. 🤡

Here's what you need to do: 1. Keep calling EDD persistently. Use multiple phones if possible. 2. Check your online account for any messages or updates. 3. If you have a UI Online account, try sending them a message through there. 4. Consider reaching out to your local assembly member's office. They can sometimes help expedite EDD issues. 5. Document everything - dates, times of calls, who you spoke to. 6. If all else fails, you might want to try that calling service someone mentioned earlier. Don't give up! The system is frustrating, but persistence usually pays off.

I feel your pain, OP. The EDD is like trying to nail jello to a wall. Keep at it and don't let them wear you down!

I had a similar issue last month when I missed their callback. What worked for me was logging into my EDD account online and looking for a "Contact EDD" or "Ask EDD" option where you can send a message explaining that you missed the call and need to reschedule. I also tried calling the 1-800-300-5616 number right at 8 AM when they open - it took about 30 tries but I finally got through. Don't lose hope, they will eventually connect with you again!
