How to update employer contact number on SDI form? Need advice ASAP!
Hey everyone, I need to update the employer contact number on my SDI form. Has anyone done this before? What's the best way to go about it? I'm a bit nervous about calling and want to make sure I get it right. Any tips or advice would be really appreciated!

I've been through this before. It's actually pretty straightforward. When you call, just explain that you need to update the employer contact info on your SDI form. Have the correct number ready. They'll usually walk you through it step by step. Don't stress too much!

•Thanks for the reassurance! Do you remember how long the call took? I'm trying to plan my day around it.

•No prob! It was pretty quick, maybe 10-15 mins tops. But ya know how it is with these things, sometimes the wait time can be a pain 🙄

•lol 10-15 mins? What parallel universe are you living in? 😂 I was on hold for like 2 hours last time I called SDI

Ugh, good luck. I tried updating my info last month and it was a nightmare. Spent hours on hold and then got disconnected. Twice. 🤬 The system is so broken.

Here's a pro tip: call right when they open. Like, set an alarm and be ready to dial the second they start taking calls. You'll have a much better chance of getting through quickly.

•This is the way. I've been doing this for years with all govt offices. Works like a charm 👍

I found a method to get someone on the phone quickly. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video for more info: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this? Kinda skeptical about paying for something like this...

•I get the skepticism, but it seriously saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo. Give it a shot if you're really stuck.

•I've used it too. It's legit. Felt kinda weird paying to talk to a govt agency, but man, it beat sitting on hold all day.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Gather all your info beforehand: Your claim number, SSN, current employer details, and the new contact number. 2. Call the SDI number (1-800-480-3287 for English, 1-866-658-8846 for Spanish). 3. When you get an agent, clearly state: "I need to update the employer contact number on my SDI claim." 4. They'll verify your identity, so have your personal info ready. 5. Provide the new employer contact number. 6. Ask them to repeat the new number to ensure accuracy. 7. Request a confirmation number or email for the change. 8. Thank them and ask if there's anything else you need to do. Remember to be patient and polite. The wait times can be long, but the actual process is usually quick once you get someone. Good luck!

Quick question - does anyone know if updating the employer contact info affects the claim in any way? Like, does it delay payments or anything?

•Nah, you're good. It's just updating contact info, shouldn't affect your payments at all. I did it last year, zero issues.
