EDD payment delays - any way to expedite benefits?
Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my benefits payments being delayed. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to expedite the process or at least get an estimate of when I might receive my payment. Any advice would be appreciated!

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. My payments have been delayed for weeks now. It's so frustrating! Have you tried calling the benefits office? I've been trying to get through but it's always busy.

Calling is useless, I've been trying for days and can't get through. The system is totally broken š¤¬

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Wait, seriously? $20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous, we shouldn't have to pay for basic customer service!

I know it sounds crazy, but after spending hours trying to get through, it was worth it for me. Got my issue resolved in one call.

It's legit, I promise. They even have a money-back guarantee if you don't get through. Saved me days of frustration.

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes there's info there about payment status or delays that you cant get over the phone.

I've been dealing with this for months now. Here's what I've learned: ā¢ Check your online account daily for updates ā¢ Make sure all your paperwork is up to date and submitted ā¢ If you can, try to speak with a rep (I know it's hard) ā¢ Look for any notices or emails about system maintenance or delays ā¢ Sometimes payments get held up if there's a holiday or weekend ā¢ Double-check that your banking info is correct in the system Hang in there, it's a slow process but the money should come eventually. Don't forget to document everything in case you need to dispute anything later!

I feel you. It's tough, but try to hang in there. Have you looked into any local assistance programs while you wait?

Pro tip: if u can get thru to a rep, ask them to put a 'hardship flag' on ur account. Supposedly it can speed things up if ur in dire straits. No garuantees tho

This whole system is a joke. We need to organize and demand better service. Who's with me? šŖ

That's exactly why we need to make noise! If we don't speak up, nothing will change

Has anyone tried reaching out to their local representative? I've heard sometimes they can help push things along.

I did this! It actually helped. Took about 2 weeks, but my rep's office got things moving

How do you even find out who your local rep is? š

Just google '[your state] find my representative'. Most have websites where you can submit inquiries
