EDD keeps dropping my calls - How to actually check eligibility?
I've been trying to get through to check my eligibility for benefits, but they keep dropping my call. It's so frustrating! Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips on how to actually get through to a real person?

Ugh, welcome to the club! 🙄 I've been dealing with this for weeks. It's like they're purposely making it impossible to reach anyone.

Weeks? Try months! I swear the system is designed to make us give up.

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

$20? That's ridiculous. We shouldn't have to pay to access our benefits!

I get the skepticism, but after wasting hours trying to get through, $20 was worth it for me. Got my issues resolved in one call.

Pro tip: Try calling right when they open. I've had better luck getting through early in the morning.

Have you tried using their online portal? Sometimes you can check eligibility there without having to call.

I tried, but it keeps giving me an error. That's why I need to talk to someone directly 😩

This is getting ridiculous. We need to start a petition or something to improve their customer service. Who's with me?

Here's what I've learned after dealing with this for months: 1. Persistence is key. Keep trying different times of day. 2. Use the online portal as much as possible for simple issues. 3. If you do get through, ask for a direct number or extension for follow-ups. 4. Document everything - dates you called, who you spoke to, what was said. 5. Consider reaching out to your local representative if you're getting nowhere. 6. Join Facebook groups or forums for your state's unemployment - sometimes they have insider tips. 7. Be prepared with all your info before you call to make the most of your time. Hope this helps someone. We're all in this together!

Great advice. Wish I'd known this months ago when I first started dealing with this mess.
