Can't get through to schedule state doctor appointment - phone just rings, voicemail full. Help!

I'm having a really hard time getting through to schedule an appointment with the state doctor. Every time I call, the phone just rings and rings, then goes to voicemail. And guess what? The voicemail is full! I've been trying for days now and I'm getting desperate. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any tips on how to actually get through and schedule an appointment?

Ugh, I feel your pain! I've been dealing with the same issue for weeks now. It's like they don't want us to get the help we need. Have you tried calling right when they open? That's worked for me in the past.

I've tried that, but no luck. It's like they never pick up the phone, no matter what time I call. 😫

Same here. I even set an alarm for 5 minutes before they open and still couldn't get through. The system is broken af

pro tip: try calling from a different number. Sometimes they block numbers that call too often. Worked for me!

I found a way to get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

$20? That's ridiculous. We shouldn't have to pay to access government services.

I get the skepticism, but it honestly saved me so much time and frustration. Worth every penny imo

How long did it take for them to get through?

It took about 2 hours, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music. They just called me when an agent was on the line.

Have you tried sending an email? I know it's not ideal, but sometimes they respond faster that way. Here's a template I used: Subject: Urgent Request to Schedule State Doctor Appointment Dear [Department Name], I've been unable to reach anyone by phone to schedule an appointment with the state doctor. The line continuously rings and goes to a full voicemail. Due to [your reason], it's crucial that I secure an appointment ASAP. Could you please help expedite this process or provide any alternative solutions? Thank you for your attention and support. [Your Name] [Your Contact Info]

Good idea, but don't hold your breath. I sent an email 3 weeks ago and still crickets 🦗

This is ridiculous. We pay taxes for these services and can't even use them. Has anyone tried contacting their local representative about this issue?

I work in a doctor's office (not state) and I can tell you that full voicemail boxes are often intentional. It's a way to manage call volume when they're understaffed. Not saying it's right, but that's probably what's happening.

That's messed up. How are we supposed to get help then?

I know, it sucks. Best bet is to keep trying at different times or use one of the alternative methods others have suggested.

Pro tip: If you can't get through on the phone, try showing up in person first thing in the morning. Sometimes they keep a few slots open for walk-ins. Bring a book tho, you might be waiting a while.

That's a good idea! Do you know if they turn people away if too many show up?

It depends on the office, but in my experience, they usually try to accommodate everyone, even if it means a long wait. Just be prepared and bring snacks!
