What time does Washington ESD deposit unemployment money - still waiting
My unemployment payment usually hits my account on Tuesday but it's already 2pm and nothing yet. Does anyone know what time Washington ESD actually sends the direct deposits? I've been approved for weeks and this is the first time it's been this late. Really need to know if I should be worried or if it's normal for deposits to come later in the day.

Washington ESD typically processes payments overnight Monday into Tuesday, but the actual deposit time depends on your bank. Most people see it between 12:01am and 6am Tuesday morning.

Check your Washington ESD account to make sure your payment actually processed. Sometimes there are issues with weekly claims that cause delays even if you've been getting payments regularly.

•Good point, let me check that now. I filed my weekly claim Sunday like always.

•This happened to me last month - turns out my claim went into adjudication over some work search issue I didn't even know about

If you're having trouble getting through to Washington ESD about payment issues, I had luck with Claimyr recently. They got me connected to an agent in about 20 minutes when I couldn't get through on my own. Check out claimyr.com - they have a demo video at https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ that shows how it works.

•It's worth it when you need to actually talk to someone at Washington ESD. Way better than spending hours on hold.

•Might have to try that if this payment doesn't show up soon. Thanks for the tip.

Washington ESD deposit times vary by bank. Chase and Bank of America usually get them earliest, around midnight Tuesday. Credit unions are often later, sometimes not until Wednesday morning.

•I have Wells Fargo and mine come around 2am Tuesday usually

•I'm with a local credit union so maybe that's why it's delayed today

Been getting UI for 6 months now and Tuesday deposits are pretty consistent but NOT guaranteed to be the same time every week. I've had them come as late as Wednesday afternoon during holidays or system maintenance.

•Yeah Washington ESD had that big system update a few weeks ago, might still be affecting deposit timing

•That makes sense, I forgot about the system maintenance they did recently

STILL WAITING TOO!!! This is ridiculous, rent is due tomorrow and I was counting on this deposit. Washington ESD needs to get their act together.

•I understand the frustration but delayed deposits happen sometimes. Check your account online first before panicking.

•Already checked - shows payment processed but no money in my account yet

fyi - if your payment shows as processed in your Washington ESD account but you don't have the money, that's usually a bank issue not ESD. Call your bank's customer service line.

This is exactly why I keep track of every deposit time in a spreadsheet. Washington ESD deposits have been coming later and later over the past month. Average used to be 1:30am Tuesday, now it's more like 8:00am.

•wow you really track all that? dedication lol

•When you're living paycheck to paycheck you notice these patterns. Every hour matters.

•That's actually helpful data. Wonder if it's related to increased claim volume or system changes.

If anyone needs to reach Washington ESD about missing payments, I recently used a service called Claimyr that got me through their phone system really fast. Way better than trying to call myself and getting hung up on.

•How does that work exactly? I might need to call if my deposit doesn't show up

•You just go to claimyr.com and they handle the calling for you. They have a video that explains it better than I can.

For future reference, Washington ESD customer service told me deposits can come anytime between Monday night and Wednesday morning depending on bank processing times and system load. Tuesday morning is just the most common.

Final update - seems like everyone who was waiting got their deposits between 4pm and 6pm today. Must have been some kind of processing delay on Washington ESD's end.
