What is Washington ESD unemployment customer service number - can't find the right one
I've been searching everywhere for the actual Washington ESD unemployment phone number and keep finding different numbers online. Some say 800-318-6022, others mention 833-572-8400. Which one is the real customer service line? I need to check on my claim status but don't want to waste time calling the wrong number. Has anyone actually gotten through recently?

The main Washington ESD unemployment line is 800-318-6022 but good luck getting through. I've been trying for weeks and either get busy signals or disconnected after waiting 2+ hours.

•That's what I was afraid of. Did you try calling at specific times or just randomly?

•I tried calling right at 8am when they open but still couldn't get through. The system is overwhelmed.

There are actually several Washington ESD numbers depending on what you need help with. 800-318-6022 is for general unemployment claims, 866-239-3619 is for identity verification issues, and there's a separate line for appeals. What specifically do you need help with?

•I just need to check why my weekly claim is showing pending for the past 3 weeks. Should I use the general line?

•Yes, the 800-318-6022 line would be for general claim status questions like yours.

I was in the same boat last month trying to reach Washington ESD about my adjudication status. After wasting days trying to call, I found this service called Claimyr that actually got me through to an agent. Check out claimyr.com - they have a video demo at https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ showing how it works. Saved me so much frustration.

•How does that work exactly? Do they just call for you or what?

•They basically keep calling Washington ESD until they get through, then connect you to the agent. Way better than sitting on hold for hours yourself.

•Sounds too good to be true. How much does something like that cost?

The 833-572-8400 number you mentioned is for the SecureAccess Washington (SAW) system, not unemployment specifically. That's probably why you're seeing different numbers online.

•Ah that makes sense! No wonder I was confused. Thanks for clarifying.

•Yeah I called that SAW number by mistake once and they couldn't help me with my UI claim at all.

Just tried calling 800-318-6022 again this morning and got through after 3.5 hours on hold! The agent was actually really helpful and resolved my pending payment issue in like 10 minutes. So frustrating it takes so long to reach them though.

•Wow 3.5 hours! I don't think I have that kind of patience. Good for you though.

•What time did you start calling? Maybe there's a better time to try.

•I started calling at 7:45am and got connected around 11:20am. Definitely call right when they open at 8am.

For anyone still struggling to get through, you can also try the online messaging system through your eServices account on the Washington ESD website. Sometimes they respond faster that way, though it's not guaranteed.

•I sent a message 2 weeks ago and still haven't heard back. Phone seems to be the only way to actually talk to someone.

Fatima Al-Maktoum
•Yeah the messaging system is hit or miss. Phone is definitely more reliable if you can get through.

This is ridiculous that we have to jump through so many hoops just to talk to someone about our own benefits. The Washington ESD system is so broken.

•Tell me about it. I've been trying to resolve an overpayment issue for months and can never reach anyone.

•Same here. My claim has been in adjudication for 6 weeks with no updates.

•It's like they don't want us to actually get help. So frustrating when you need the money.

Update: I used Claimyr again yesterday for a different issue and they got me connected to Washington ESD in under 30 minutes. Seriously worth it if you're tired of the phone game. The agent helped me update my job search log requirements.

•I'm really considering trying this. How exactly does it work - do you have to give them your personal info?

•Nah, it's pretty simple to use. They just handle the calling part and connect you when an agent picks up. Check out that video I mentioned earlier.

Pro tip: if you're calling about a specific claim issue, have your Social Security number and claim confirmation number ready. The agents will ask for this right away and it speeds up the process once you get through.

•Good to know! I'll make sure to have all my info ready before calling.

•Also have your employment dates and employer info handy if they ask about work history.

I finally got through to Washington ESD after trying that Claimyr service someone mentioned. Took like 20 minutes and the agent cleared up my identity verification hold. Wish I'd known about this weeks ago!

•Honestly didn't even think about the cost after wasting so much time calling myself. Just glad to finally talk to someone at Washington ESD.

For future reference, here are the main Washington ESD unemployment numbers: 800-318-6022 (general claims), 866-239-3619 (identity verification), 888-834-4648 (employer services), and 800-318-6022 option 4 (appeals). Save these in your phone so you don't have to search again.

Just want to say thanks to everyone who helped. I finally got my claim issue sorted out. The 800-318-6022 number is definitely the right one for general questions, just be prepared to wait a while.

•My weekly claim was stuck because they needed to verify my job search activities. Once I talked to an agent it was cleared up in minutes.

Word of advice - don't waste time with the online chat feature on the Washington ESD website. It's useless and they just tell you to call anyway.

NebulaNinja
•Yeah I tried that too. The chat bot couldn't help with anything actually useful.

Ava Martinez
•Exactly. It's just automated responses that don't actually solve real problems.

One more mention of Claimyr since people keep asking - they basically eliminate the waiting game with Washington ESD phone lines. Worth checking out if you're stuck like I was. The video demo explains it better than I can: https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ
