What does 'Processing-IvR pay' status mean on my ESD claim?

Hey everyone, I just checked my ESD account and noticed my claim status changed to 'Processing-IvR pay' yesterday. I've never seen this status before and can't figure out what it means. Does anyone know if this is good news or bad news? Is my payment actually being processed or is this another delay? I'm on week 5 of waiting and really starting to stress about bills. I tried calling ESD like 20 times today but can't get through to a real person. Thanks for any help!

I had the exact same status show up on my claim last month! 'Processing-IvR pay' actually means your payment is being processed through their Interactive Voice Response system. It's actually good news - your money is likely about to be released. For me, the funds appeared in my account about 48 hours after seeing this status. Just hang tight!

OMG THANK YOU!!! That's such a relief to hear. I've been freaking out all day thinking it was another problem. Did yours move to a different status after that or did it just stay as Processing-IvR until the money showed up?

I don't think that's completely accurate. 'Processing-IvR pay' doesn't necessarily mean approval or that payment is on the way. IvR stands for Interactive Voice Response, which is the automated phone system ESD uses. This status sometimes appears when there's been activity on your claim that requires additional verification or when information has been submitted through the phone system. It could be good news, but it's not a guarantee of payment. My advice is to keep trying to reach an ESD agent to confirm your status. That's the only way to know for sure what's happening with your claim.

Oh no, now I'm worried again. Has anyone else seen this status and NOT gotten paid? I hate this uncertainty!

I dealt with this exact situation back in February. 'Processing-IvR pay' typically indicates your claim is moving through their final review process before payment is issued. In my experience, this is generally positive, but there are a few things to understand: 1. IvR stands for Interactive Voice Response (their phone system) 2. This status often appears when information has been verified or processed through their system 3. Most claims with this status do proceed to payment within 2-5 business days 4. However, if there are any unresolved issues, it could require additional steps I recommend checking your ESD account every morning for status updates. If it doesn't change within 5 business days, that's when you should be more persistent about reaching an agent.

Thank you for the detailed explanation! That's super helpful. I've been checking the portal constantly, so I'll keep doing that. 5 business days seems reasonable to wait before panicking again.

When I had this status last year it took 3 days then changed to paid! But my cousin had same thing and his went back to pending because they needed more info about his last job. So its probly good but no guarantee ya know???

This is so frustrating!! I'm in the same boat but mine's been saying "Processing-IvR pay" for TWO WEEKS now and I haven't seen a penny!!! ESD is a complete JOKE! I've called 50+ times and either get hung up on or wait on hold for hours just to get disconnected. The whole system is designed to make people give up. I'm about to lose my apartment and my car because of these people.

I was stuck in the same situation and finally got through to ESD after trying Claimyr (claimyr.com). They connected me to an ESD agent in about 25 minutes when I had been trying for days on my own. You can see how it works in this video: https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ?si=26TzE_zGms-DODN3. The agent was able to tell me exactly why my payment was held up and fixed it while I was on the phone. Worth it when you're at your wit's end.

UPDATE: For anyone who finds this thread later - my payment came through! It took exactly 3 business days after the 'Processing-IvR pay' status appeared. The status never actually changed in the portal, but the money just showed up in my account this morning. So relieved!

That's amazing news!!! Thank you for updating. Mine is still showing the same status but it's only been 2 days. This gives me hope!

I just want to add my experience for anyone else dealing with this - I had the 'Processing-IvR pay' status appear on my claim about 3 weeks ago. Like others mentioned, it does usually mean good news, but the timeline can vary quite a bit. Mine took 6 business days to actually hit my account, which was longer than some of the experiences shared here but still came through eventually. The key thing I learned is that ESD processes payments in batches, so even if your claim is approved, it might sit in that status until the next batch runs. Don't lose hope if it takes a few extra days beyond what others experienced!

Thanks for sharing your timeline! It's really helpful to hear different experiences. I'm on day 3 now and was starting to worry since some people got theirs in 2-3 days. Knowing it can take up to 6 business days makes me feel better about waiting a bit longer before I start panicking again. The batch processing explanation makes a lot of sense too - that would explain why some people get theirs faster than others even with the same status.

Just wanted to share my recent experience with this status! I had "Processing-IvR pay" show up last week and was super anxious after reading mixed experiences online. Mine took exactly 4 business days to process and the payment hit my account yesterday morning. What I noticed was that the status stayed the same in the portal right up until the money appeared - so don't worry if it doesn't change to "paid" or anything like that. The automated system they use seems to work in the background without updating the visible status. For anyone currently waiting, I'd say give it the full business week before getting too worried. Hang in there Mason, sounds like you're right on track based on everyone's timeline!

Thank you so much Keisha! Your experience sounds really similar to what I'm going through. I'm on day 3 now and it's reassuring to hear that the status staying the same is normal. I was worried something was wrong since it wasn't updating, but knowing the system works in the background makes total sense. I'll try to be patient and wait the full week before stressing too much. Really appreciate you taking the time to share your timeline - it helps more than you know!

I'm going through this exact same situation right now! My claim status changed to 'Processing-IvR pay' three days ago and I've been checking my bank account obsessively every few hours. Reading through everyone's experiences here is really reassuring - it sounds like most people do get their payments within that 2-6 business day window. I was so confused when I first saw this status because it's not explained anywhere on the ESD website. Thank you all for sharing your timelines and experiences! It's such a relief to know this is generally a positive sign and not another roadblock. Fingers crossed mine comes through in the next day or two like some of yours did!
