Need governor's office number to escalate stalled ESD claim - has anyone tried this?
Been trying to get through to ESD for 3 weeks about my claim that's been stuck in adjudication since January. At this point I'm desperate and thinking about calling the governor's office directly to see if they can help. Has anyone done this successfully? What's the governor's office phone number? And did they actually help with your unemployment claim or just send you back to the regular ESD channels? I've already tried the regular customer service line about 40 times and either get disconnected or told to wait for adjudication to complete. Starting to panic about rent next month.

The governor's office number is 360-902-4111. I called them last summer when my claim was stuck for almost 8 weeks. They took my info and said they'd forward it to ESD's escalation team. Got a call back from ESD about 5 days later and my issue was fixed within a week after that. Definitely worth trying when nothing else works!

•THANK YOU!!! Did you need to prepare anything specific before calling? I don't want to mess up my only chance at getting help.

Calling the governor won't help AT ALL. Its just another layer of bureaucracy. They'll just create a ticket that goes into the same backlogged system. I tried it in 2025 and wasted my time. Your better off trying to reach an actual ESD agent who can look at your file directly.

•I actually had good results using Claimyr to get through to an ESD agent directly! It costs a bit but they connected me to an actual person at ESD within 15 minutes when I'd been trying for weeks on my own. They have a demo video at https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ?si=26TzE_zGms-DODN3 that shows how it works. Just saved me so much frustration compared to waiting on hold or trying to get through the regular phone system.

•^^^THIS!!! I second contacting your state representative. Mine helped resolve my standby status issue when I was getting nowhere with ESD directly. The governor's office is too removed from day-to-day ESD operations to be much help.

While contacting the governor's office (360-902-4111) or your state representative can sometimes help, be aware that they're receiving many similar requests. For faster resolution, make sure you've exhausted the normal ESD channels first: 1. Check if your adjudication issue requires any documents from you in your eServices portal 2. Try calling ESD at different times (early morning tends to be better) 3. Make sure you're continuing to file weekly claims while waiting 4. If you have a WorkSource appointment, don't miss it as this can further delay your claim When you do contact the governor's office, have your claim ID ready, be specific about how long you've been waiting, and explain any financial hardship you're experiencing. This information helps them prioritize cases.

•Thank you for the detailed advice! I've definitely been keeping up with my weekly claims and checked eServices - there's nothing there requesting additional info from me. My WorkSource appointment isn't until next month. I'll try the governor's number and make sure I have all my claim details ready.

I've been on adjudication for 9 weeks now and feeling your frustration! I don't think the governor's office helped me much but my state senator's office definitely did. The trick is to clearly explain the financial hardship - I was about to be evicted and mentioned that specifically. Their constituent services person got back to me within 48 hours and my claim was resolved the following week. Did you receive any notification about why you're in adjudication? Mine was because of a job I quit in 2023 even though I'd worked two jobs since then! The whole system is so broken.

•Thanks for sharing your experience. No, I haven't received any explanation for the adjudication - that's part of what's so frustrating! I have no idea what they're investigating or if they need something from me. I'll definitely emphasize the financial hardship if I call the governor's office.
