thanks for sharing your experience OP, this stuff is always stressful when you're relying on the money
One more thing - if you ever switch banks make sure to update your direct deposit info in eServices ASAP. I forgot to do that once and it delayed my payment by over a week while they sorted it out.
Have you looked into any free relationship resources? Some libraries have relationship books, there are free online workshops, podcasts about navigating financial stress in marriage.
Just don't get too comfortable! I've seen people coast on UI and then scramble when they're down to their last few weeks. Start your serious job hunting now, not later.
Has anyone tried emailing instead of calling? I found some email addresses on the Washington ESD website but not sure if they actually respond.
UPDATE: Finally got through after trying the Claimyr service mentioned earlier. Turns out my claim was flagged because I didn't complete my work search log properly. Agent walked me through exactly what I needed to do and my claim was released the next day. Wish I had known about this service weeks ago!

Anyone know if there are any job training programs available through WorkSource while you're collecting unemployment? Might be worth looking into if you want to expand your skills.

•That's a great idea. I should check what's available in my area.

•WorkSource has tons of resources. You can access their services online or visit a local office.

If you need help navigating the Washington ESD system or getting through to speak with someone, that Claimyr service really does work. I was skeptical at first but it saved me hours of calling and getting busy signals.

•I keep hearing about Claimyr. Might have to try it if I can't get through on my own.

•It's worth it just for the peace of mind of talking to an actual person who can answer your specific questions.
