If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

My cousin in California gets more weeks than we do here in Washington. Kind of annoying that it varies so much by state when unemployment is a national issue.

Each state sets their own unemployment program rules. Some states offer more weeks, others offer higher benefit amounts. It's a tradeoff.

0 coins

Still seems unfair that your zip code determines how much help you get when you lose your job.

The most important thing is to stay organized and keep good records. Track your job search activities, save all correspondence from Washington ESD, and don't miss any deadlines. The 26 weeks go by faster than you think, but if you stay on top of everything, you'll be in the best position possible.

Thanks everyone for all the helpful information. I feel much more prepared now to make the most of my benefits period.

You're welcome! Good luck with your job search. Don't hesitate to ask if you have more questions.

Don't let your employer intimidate you into not filing. Some employers will try to discourage former employees from applying for unemployment. You have every right to file a claim.

0 coins

This is so true. My former boss tried to tell me I couldn't get unemployment because I was fired. Total lie.

0 coins

Employers sometimes say that to reduce their unemployment tax burden. Washington ESD makes the final decision, not your former employer.

Just to add another success story - I was fired for 'poor performance' but got approved because I was trying my best and following all policies. Washington ESD really does look at the whole situation, not just the fact that you were fired.

0 coins

That gives me hope. I really was trying to do everything right at my job.

0 coins

That's what matters. As long as you weren't intentionally doing anything wrong, you have a good shot at approval.

One more thing - if you're having trouble getting through to Washington ESD for questions about your 26-week benefit period, that Claimyr service someone mentioned earlier really does work. I was skeptical at first but it saved me so much time and frustration.

I bookmarked their site just in case. Hopefully I won't need it but good to know it's there.

Smart thinking. The phone lines at Washington ESD are brutal, especially when you're stressed about your claim.

Good luck with your claim! 26 weeks might seem like a lot now but use the time effectively. The job market is tough but you'll get through it.

0 coins

Thank you! I'm feeling more confident about the whole process now.

0 coins

That's great to hear. Having a plan makes all the difference when you're dealing with unemployment.

If it helps, you can always try calling Washington ESD directly early in the morning or late in the afternoon when call volume might be lower. Though honestly that Claimyr service mentioned earlier sounds like it might be more reliable.

I've tried calling a few times with no luck. I think I'll look into that service if I need to talk to someone soon.

Just keep checking your account regularly and stay patient. The money will come, it just takes time for the bureaucracy to do its thing.

0 coins

Will do. Thanks everyone for all the helpful responses!

Just want to add that if you're unsure about your eligibility, it's better to file and let Washington ESD determine if you qualify rather than not filing at all. The worst they can do is deny your claim, but at least you'll know for sure.

0 coins

That's good advice. I was worried about filing if I might not qualify but you're right, it's better to try.

0 coins

Exactly. And if they do deny you, you have the right to appeal their decision if you think they made an error.

One thing to keep in mind is that once you start receiving benefits, you have to file weekly claims and meet all the requirements. It's not just a one-time thing. You have to actively look for work and report your job search activities.

Ava Kim

Yeah the weekly claims can be a pain but it's worth it for the benefits. Just make sure you keep good records of your job search.

The job search requirements seem pretty reasonable compared to some other states I've heard about.
