For what it's worth, I qualified for unemployment after working for only 6 months at my job because I had worked at another place earlier in the year. So like others said, it really is about your total earnings over the base period, not just one job.
Just remember that if you do end up filing for unemployment, you'll need to file your weekly claims every week to keep getting benefits. Don't forget to do that even if nothing changes with your job search.
The Wednesday deposit schedule has been consistent for me except during the week of Thanksgiving and Christmas when everything was delayed by a day. Other than holidays, I can count on getting paid every Wednesday.
One thing to watch out for - if Washington ESD sends you any correspondence or requests for additional information, respond immediately. I ignored a letter asking for wage verification because I thought it was spam and they stopped my payments for 2 weeks until I got it sorted out with Claimyr's help getting through to an agent.
This is exactly why I keep that Claimyr bookmark handy. Never know when you'll need to actually talk to someone at Washington ESD quickly.
Last thing I'll add - if you end up needing to call Washington ESD for any reason and can't get through normally, definitely check out that Claimyr thing. Saved me so much frustration when I had a complicated situation with my claim.
if you end up having trouble reaching washington esd about your benefits, i second the recommendation for claimyr. i was skeptical at first but they really do get you through to someone when you need help. saved me a lot of stress when my claim got held up
The whole process is actually pretty smooth once you get started. Washington ESD has improved their system a lot since the pandemic. Just file your claim and follow the instructions they give you.

Final thought - if you do need to talk to Washington ESD about your specific situation, don't waste time trying to call the regular number. Use Claimyr to actually get through to someone who can give you accurate information about how Washington handles these cases. They'll know the state-specific rules better than general online advice.

•I think I will try that. I need to get official answers about my specific case rather than just general information.

•Smart move. Every situation is different and you need advice based on your actual circumstances.

Just want to add - don't make any decisions without talking to professionals who understand both systems. This isn't something to figure out through trial and error with your benefits on the line.

•Absolutely. Thank you everyone for the advice. I'm going to talk to my disability lawyer first, then maybe use Claimyr to get through to Washington ESD for their official position.

•That sounds like a solid plan. Good luck and I hope you find a path that works for your situation.
