If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Don't forget you can also check your claim status by calling the automated line at 1-800-318-6022. It's not perfect but sometimes gives you a bit more info than the website.

I tried that but it just says 'claim is being processed' which isn't much help.

0 coins

Yeah the automated system is pretty basic. Real agents have much more detailed info.

The approval process can feel like forever when you're waiting. I remember checking my account constantly. Now I tell everyone - file your weekly claims religiously and try not to stress too much about the timeline.

0 coins

Thanks for the reassurance. I'm definitely filing weekly claims even though nothing's been approved yet.

0 coins

Smart move. Those weekly claims are like your place in line - don't lose your spot.

Remember that even if your severance affects your first few weeks of benefits, you can still file your weekly claims. This keeps your claim active and ensures you don't have gaps in coverage once the severance period ends.

0 coins

So I should keep filing weekly claims even if I'm not receiving benefit payments during the severance period?

0 coins

Exactly! This maintains your claim status and ensures continuous coverage. Just report your severance income accurately on each weekly claim.

Final thought for the OP - don't let your former employer's HR department discourage you from filing. They may not understand Washington ESD rules fully. You have the right to file for unemployment benefits, and Washington ESD will make the determination based on their guidelines, not your employer's interpretation.

Thank you so much everyone! This thread has been incredibly helpful. I feel much more confident about filing my claim now.

0 coins

Good luck with your claim! Don't hesitate to ask if you run into any other questions during the process.

Just a heads up - the Washington ESD system does maintenance on Sunday nights sometimes, so if you can't access it then, try again Monday morning.

0 coins

Good to know! I was planning to apply tonight but maybe I'll wait until tomorrow to avoid any technical issues.

0 coins

Smart move. Weekday mornings seem to have the fewest problems with the site.

Last piece of advice - keep copies of everything you submit and save confirmation numbers. If something goes wrong later, you'll need that documentation to prove you filed correctly and on time.

0 coins

I'll definitely screenshot everything. Thanks again everyone - this forum has been incredibly helpful!

You're welcome! Hope your application goes smoothly and you get approved quickly.

Just want to echo what everyone else is saying - PFML is definitely the right program for maternity leave, not unemployment. I was initially confused too because they're both through Washington ESD. The websites and applications are completely separate though.

0 coins

Thanks for confirming this. It sounds like everyone who's been through this process has the same advice about using PFML instead of trying for unemployment.

0 coins

Yep, unemployment is really strict about the able and available requirements. PFML is designed specifically for situations like pregnancy and family bonding time.

0 coins

One last tip - when you apply for PFML, make sure to keep copies of all your paperwork and track your application status online. The Washington ESD portal lets you see updates on your claim, which is really helpful for peace of mind.

0 coins

Agreed, this was a great discussion. Hope everything goes smoothly with your PFML application and congratulations on your upcoming baby!

If you need help navigating the Washington ESD system or have questions about your PFML claim status, remember that Claimyr service can help you reach an actual person instead of dealing with automated systems. Good luck with everything!

If anyone's still confused about this stuff, the Washington ESD eligibility requirements page has all the official details. Just prepare for some dense reading!

0 coins

Thanks for the reminder. Sometimes it's better to go straight to the source even if it's harder to understand.

0 coins

Exactly. And if you still have questions after reading the official info, then you know what specific things to ask about when you call.

This whole thread has been way more helpful than the Washington ESD FAQ section. Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences and knowledge!

0 coins

Agree! Real people sharing real experiences is so much more valuable than generic government websites.

0 coins

For sure. Hope this helps other people who are trying to figure out the same thing.
