The key thing is just to be completely honest on all your weekly claims and report any changes immediately. Most disqualifications happen because people either don't understand the rules or try to hide something. When in doubt, report it and let them decide.
Also remember that even if you get disqualified, it might not be permanent. Some disqualifications are just for a certain number of weeks, others require you to work and earn a certain amount before you can requalify. Read the notice carefully to understand what you need to do.
Good luck with your claim! The system isn't perfect but it does help when you really need it. Just be patient with the process.
Last tip - keep copies of everything you submit and screenshot your weekly claims. Washington ESD's system has been known to lose information.
Just want to add that you should also sign up for job alerts and career counseling through WorkSource. They have good resources beyond just the job search logging requirement.
For what it's worth, I've found that calling Washington ESD first thing in the morning (like 8:01 AM) gives you the best chance of getting through. Still takes forever but better odds than calling later in the day.
I tried that strategy for weeks with no luck. That's why I eventually gave up and used Claimyr to get through. Sometimes you just need to try a different approach when the normal methods aren't working.
The bottom line is you won't know for sure until you apply. The wage calculation is automatic and you'll get a determination pretty quickly if there are no other issues with your claim. Since you're still employed, it should be straightforward.

One last thing - make sure you understand the difference between your base period and benefit year. The base period determines if you qualify and how much you get, but your benefit year is when you can actually collect benefits.

•I'll make sure to read up on that. There's definitely a lot to learn about this process!

•It's confusing at first but once you get through the initial claim it becomes more routine. The weekly claims are pretty straightforward.
