Washington ESD's website has all this info but it's buried in like 20 different pages. Wish they made it clearer that you should file immediately.
The website is terrible for finding simple answers. That's probably why services like Claimyr exist - people need human explanations of this stuff.
Filed my claim 6 months ago and this thread is bringing back memories of how confusing it all was at first. But once you get through the initial setup and first few weekly claims, it becomes routine.
Just filed my claim yesterday so I'm in the same boat as you! Hoping it doesn't take too long. This thread has been really helpful for setting expectations.
Based on everything I've read here and elsewhere, seems like 2-4 weeks is the normal range for most people, with some outliers taking longer if there are complications. Just be patient and keep doing what you're supposed to do.
Update us after you file! I'm curious how it goes since I might need to file soon too if my hours don't pick back up.
Final thought on the Claimyr service I mentioned - I know it might seem unnecessary for basic claims, but I've recommended it to a couple friends who had claims stuck in adjudication, and it really helped them get resolution faster than just waiting and hoping. Sometimes you need that direct agent contact to move things along.
Update: I filed my claim online this evening and it was actually pretty straightforward! Thanks everyone for all the helpful advice. Now I just need to wait for them to process it and start doing my weekly claims. Feeling much better about the whole process now.

My advice is to use the waiting time productively - job search, skill building, networking. Makes the time pass faster and you'll be in better shape when the appeal resolves.

•Good point. I've been so focused on the appeal that I haven't been as active with job searching.

•Yeah and if you win the appeal you'll need to meet job search requirements anyway, so might as well get started.

Just got my appeal decision after 8 weeks - I won! The back pay deposited 3 days later. Hang in there, it's worth the wait if you have a legitimate case.

•Not really through regular channels, but I did use one of those callback services someone mentioned earlier to check status once.

•That's awesome news. I'm at week 6 now so hopefully mine comes soon too.
