If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Just want to add that while the unemployment rate doesn't affect your claim directly, economic conditions can influence state funding for programs like job training through WorkSource. But your UI benefits are separate from that.

That's interesting about the job training connection. I might look into WorkSource programs once my claim gets approved.

WorkSource has some good resources. They can help with your job search log requirements too.

Been following this thread and just wanted to say thanks for all the info about unemployment rates vs individual claims. Really helpful to understand the difference!

Same here! This community is way more helpful than trying to navigate the Washington ESD website alone.

One more thing about using Claimyr - I found it especially helpful because I could get through to Washington ESD during my lunch break instead of having to take time off work to call during business hours. When you're already stressed about potentially losing your job, having that flexibility was really valuable.

0 coins

That's a really good point about timing. I wouldn't want to have to explain to my current employer why I'm calling unemployment during work hours.

Overall, yes - getting laid off definitely qualifies you for unemployment benefits in Washington. The process is straightforward for layoff situations since there's no question about fault or eligibility. File as soon as possible after your last day, be honest and accurate with all information, and stay on top of your weekly claims. You'll get through this.

0 coins

Thank you everyone for all the helpful information. I feel much more prepared now if the layoffs do happen.

0 coins

You're welcome! Hope everything works out for you, but at least now you know you have options if needed.

Just want to echo what others said about filing that first Sunday after your layoff. Don't wait thinking you might find a job quickly - you can always stop filing weekly claims if you get hired, but you can't go back in time to start your benefit year earlier.

0 coins

That makes sense. Better to have the safety net in place even if I don't end up needing it for long.

0 coins

Exactly. I waited two weeks thinking I'd find something fast and ended up regretting it when my job search took 4 months.

One more thing - if you have any questions about whether you qualify or how much you'll get, Washington ESD has a benefit calculator on their website. It's not 100% accurate but gives you a rough idea of your weekly benefit amount.

0 coins

Thanks for all the advice everyone! This has been super helpful. I feel much more prepared now.

0 coins

Good luck with everything! The whole process is less scary once you get started.

0 coins

just remember that every week you don't file is money you're leaving on the table. These benefits are there to help you while you're between jobs - use them!

0 coins

True, I worked for years paying into this system so I shouldn't feel bad about using it when I need it.

0 coins

Exactly! You earned these benefits through your previous work.

Bottom line: File every single week, on time, with accurate information. Set reminders, keep records of your job search activities, and report any work or income honestly. It becomes routine after a few weeks.

Good luck! And remember if you run into any issues with Washington ESD that require talking to an agent, that Claimyr service I mentioned earlier can save you hours of frustration trying to get through on the phone.

0 coins

I'll definitely keep that in mind. Hopefully I won't need to call but it's good to know there's an option if I do.

I had a similar experience and used Claimyr when I needed to check on my claim status during adjudication. The video demo on their site really shows how the service works if anyone's curious about it.

0 coins

I might check that out if my claim gets complicated. The regular Washington ESD phone lines are impossible to get through on.

0 coins

Same here, I've been trying to call for weeks with no luck. Might be worth looking into.

Update us on how it goes! Always interested to hear how these cases turn out, especially since yours sounds pretty straightforward for approval.

0 coins

Will do! I'll post an update once I hear back from Washington ESD. Fingers crossed it goes smoothly.

Hope it works out for you! Sounds like you have a good case based on what everyone's saying here.
