Does the benefit amount ever change once it's set? Like if I get a job and then get laid off again later?
Thanks everyone for all the explanations! This thread helped me understand my benefit calculation way better than the Washington ESD website did.
Just wanted to add - if you do decide to decline this offer, make sure you have a solid plan for continuing your job search. Keep applying, networking, maybe consider some professional development activities to make yourself more marketable.
Final thought - if you're really unsure, you could always ask the employer for a few days to consider the offer. That gives you time to maybe connect with a Washington ESD agent through Claimyr or another service to get official guidance on your specific situation.
Just wanted to say thanks for all the helpful info in this thread! I'm definitely going to file for partial benefits now that I know it's an option. Really appreciate everyone sharing their experiences.
I used Claimyr when I couldn't get through to check on my adjudication status and they connected me right away. Definitely recommend if you need to actually talk to someone at Washington ESD instead of just checking your account online.
Thanks everyone for all the advice. I'm going to start by filing a worker classification determination request with Washington ESD and gathering all my documentation. Even if it takes months, it seems like my best shot at getting benefits.
Definitely consider using Claimyr if you need to speak with someone at ESD. Made a huge difference for me.

For anyone trying to reach Washington ESD about unreported wages, I had success using that Claimyr service someone mentioned earlier. They got me through to an agent who walked me through exactly what documentation I needed to send. Saved me weeks of trying to call on my own.

•Did they help you actually resolve the issue or just get you connected?

•They just handle getting you connected to an actual Washington ESD agent. Once you're on the phone, you deal directly with the state employee. But that's the hard part - actually getting through to someone who can help.

UPDATE: I finally got through to Washington ESD after using Claimyr. The agent was actually really helpful and explained that since I'm self-reporting the unreported wages, it's just going to be treated as an overpayment. I have to pay back $85 (the amount I shouldn't have received for that week) but no penalties or fraud charges. Huge relief!

•About 2 weeks total. Most of that was waiting for them to review my case after I submitted the wage documentation. The actual phone call with the agent only took about 15 minutes.

•This gives me so much hope. I'm going to try Claimyr today and hopefully get this resolved quickly like you did.
